One of the witnesses has already spoken to the press saying, "Witnesses saw the supervisor and the
shooter walk outside together. They heard a gunshot and the shooter come back inside the plant and he shot numerous people.”
Crazy. -
There's no need for sh*t like this to happen. It makes me sad.

There was another shooting at a bottling factory in North Carolina two weeks ago.
Are shootings in the workplace becoming a more prevalent thing?
Why do mass shootings happen so often in the United States?-

How did this get to be number one so fast? So the other stories get pushed down now after sitting here for all this time just to push this up? Not saying this isn't important, but perhaps a breaking news banner at the top of the page would be good to post breaking news that does not interfere with the flow of the rest of the stories?
But I suppose we will hear from both of our illustrious candidates today on this now to use it to pander as well...-

Ironically, the Supreme Court is to announce their decision today on banning hand guns in DC.
So one guy goes nuts and it's gonna be all over the press. Meanwhile their are millions of Americans that practice their 2nd amendment right with no incident.
One bad apple shouldn't spoil the bunch. With a corrupt government like we have now. The 2nd amendment is more necessary than ever before.-

We need more handguns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No one should leave home or prison without one!!!!!!!!!
Wise up America, Ban Handguns and institue a huge buy back program to get rid of existing handguns. -
That issue is not black and white to me.
We need to look at other countries and how they are working out.
I haven't researched that much-

Every week more Americans in the U.S. seemed to be killed by wackos than soldiers in Iraq by the Taliban!

Face it, hand guns are meant to kill people. I can protect my home or hunt wildlife with a rifle or shot gun. Those are pretty hard to hide in your pocket even sawed off and modified. I don't need an uzi to protect myself either. If I did it wouldn't do me much good because I'd prolly get blasted by a missile. I want a tank.

All the reasons people will offer for events such as these are only symptoms of the problem, not the problem.
These events will continue to happen and they will happen more frequently. If you ban guns, people will just get them illegally.
Our very culture, our society itself, is what has created this mess. It is a model for human existence we have been trying for ten thousand years, and it DOESN'T WORK.
Yet we cling to it, refuse to admit we may be wrong, and it will be much much worse now before it can ever get better. So stop acting all shocked when you see headlines like this, and start looking for answers as to 'why' that aren't just other symptoms of the issue. -
An apathetic and depressed country, overly-medicated with no real social services or competent educational system is the problem at hand here, not the gun.
If our social welfare and mental health system was a manager, I'd report him to HR. -
This is what happens when you psycho evaluate your employees.

The death toll is up to 6 now. There is still one person, according to reports at ST. Mary's Hospital being treated for a gunshot wound.
-
I'm tired of hearing about all these murders and shootings with guns.Everyday, there's some shooting news story on the news.. I understand the "right to bear arms" but in the US it is out of control. What's so different about the US than other countries who don't have a problem with guns?
-
Good comments: Kati_Kat, YourMothersMilk, saskia.
Amendment II, of the United States Constitution: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Well, does that clear things up??
not really. -
What I think is, it's easy to make comments like this right after something has happened but then you run the danger of politicizing it. I feel like that's the last thing on the victims' minds right now you know? Thats why its so hard to wrap my head around it.I just know it's sad. :(

it amazes me that there aren't regular suicide bombings in this country . i'd say guns are more civilized .
