  • And why is this a featured video on Current's homepage? With the thumbnail of cartoonish breasts? Is this news? At all? It's like Fox News doing a story on bikini baristas in Seattle with an indignant and patronizing air, yet SHOWING these scantily clad women for the entire 5 minute segment. 780 views.... Current, you're almost, officially, irrelevant. It's one thing if it's viewer submitted....but come on, this is YOUR featured video....

  • I agree with tatuaje: Isn't it just as silly for InfoMania to be covering this? I dunno, this is just my opinion. I think InfoMania is funny sometimes, but to a degree, which all News reports are susceptible to, some topics (such as this one) are too trivial to be covered. Is this that important? Stuff like this is an example of what would cause me not to watch InfoMania.

  • With shows like this is probably why my girlfriend hates men. (Including myself)

  • Some fair points from tatuaje and AutifK. Big picture, we'd argue that any show on a major cable network (Spike is a division of MTV...not surprising, huh?) is fair game for commentary. Do we feel a bit dirtier this weekend for covering Manswers? Probably. But our beat is the media world so we're pretty much covered in filth already.

One last note: thank you all for clicking on our thumbnail of cartoonish breasts.

  • I'm not saying not to cover it. Media such as Spike TV SHOULD be pointed out and laughed at if for no other reason than to rattle the cages of acceptable memes. But to place it on the homepage with the cartoonish breasts to draw in viewers ("thank you all for clicking on our thumbnail of cartoonish breasts.") is playing the same game as Fox News that I pointed out in my earlier comment. Criticising Spike for such a story and then using their same tactics to garner viewers (or hits) for yourself. Why not a thumbnail of Connor Knightly? It's hypocritical. And no, I did not click on this story because I wanted to see something "sexy" (I had already watched the entire InfoMania earlier), but to hopefully make the point that I just did.....

  • Fair enough but Fox News is not the only one playing that game. Britney Spears on the cover of the April Atlantic Monthly? Ben Affleck reporting for Nightline? It's all part of same game. I wish we were above all that but sadly we're not. Fact: conor knighton doesn't click as well as large breasts...at least not yet.

  • Haha, actually I've watched Manswers before and it actually wasn't bad when it first came out, however as time went on, it got worse and worse, now... they're covering which animal feels more like a women... wtf?

Btw... natural boobs do float, w00t!

  • Sorry, one more thing I don’t agree with. Why would they put up a thumbnail of Conor? He may be the host, but the show isn’t about him, correct? I think if the show was about following Conor around or basically being his shadow and observing him, then Conor should be the thumbnail of this submission. But, the show is not primarily about him. Also, when you see InfoMania, if you have already been used to seeing InfoMania, then it is already implicit that Conor is on the show, so I think putting a thumbnail of Conor would be both unnecessary and uninformative. Although I don’t agree with the subject matter (mind you, I didn’t bother watching this segment of InfoMania), I think the thumbnail of the boobs its more relevant than a thumbnail of Conor. This segment is about a men’s channel. To my experience, most men are attracted to women. Women have boobs. Thus, men like to see pictures of women’s boobs. So, given the subject matter (a men’s channel), I think the thumbnail of women’s boobs is more relevant. Given the subject matter, I think the thumbnail should either be something pertaining to common male interests or 'MANswers'. Sorry if I came off as perverse, but I’m just trying to be logical.

  • where are the boobs?

  • So Spike TV is owned by MTV, that explains it. So what’s Current’s excuse for promoting this fluff and does that answer justify soiling current.com? Look I love boobs but I don’t go to a news outlet to satisfy my desire. I also enjoy a well done, witty report of television and the media. That’s why I watch “The Soup” and not infomania.

  • hahahahah.....InfoMania never fails to make me laugh...even with this. I've watched Manswers and have been entertained by it but that's because it was not any of the ones highlighted in this segment.

I wouldn't be watching anything that was highlighted here. Yeah channel changing would occur. And where would I change it to? CurrentTV of course!
