Olafur Eliasson is a world-renowned artist, designer and creator of awesomeness. This latest installment is a series of four giant waterfalls in the middle of New Yorks East River, which divides Brooklyn and Manhattan. The waterfalls flow from scaffolding that are up to ten stories high.

I find it both funny and inspiring that people love to see water fall, even when it means its falling from some weird structure.

it would be cool if the design were tweaked a bit to generate hydroelectric power. what a great source of renewable energy for NYC!
