Rage Against the Machine Guitarist Tom Morello endorses first political candidate

Tom rocks!
He just happens to be some "guy" who is Harvard-educated & Morello's great-uncle, Jomo Kenyatta, was the first president of Kenya.
Kenyatta is acknowledged as one of the greatest men of the 20th century.

What exatly does it mean to be Pro-American?
As a Native American I'd like to know.
Cindy Sheehan might say Pro-American = Anti-Bush and I would have to agree.

It's good to see someone endorse any third party candidate when they are so underrepresented in our media.

It's a nice gesture to say you think a third-party person should be president, but it'd be really something if celebrities would actually give some of their money/time to ensure they person the claim to want gets into office.

The average, blue-collar person won't have enough money to get an independent candidate out into the media so that more people can get to know them.

I can't stand anything that Cindy stands for. If anyone is a war profiteer it's her.

Well done to Tom Morello who is not only one of the most respected musicians of our time,but who is also an endless campaigner of human rights and green issues.So if he adds his name to something,it means so much more.

I think that its always very beneificial for the people to see which candidates celebrities are voting for and endorsing (even celebrities as "controversial as Mr. Tom Morello"). It inspires them to take up action and actually vote. Go forward with this Tom; this is a great favour to America as messed up as it is. And i know this gets old but Tom youre my hero

If you are going to endorse a 3rd party candidate endorse someone reputable like Nader who has a history in politics, not some activist like Sheehan.

Ok I agree with her that Iraq was an illegal war and we should pull out but I doubt she knows anything about public policy. She says nice things but don't we all?

Supporting activist who fight for what we want will help out. Instead of endorsing people who their name, we should look at what they're fighting for. If more people from mainstream media start to support small causes like these, maybe people will look into this.

Cindy Sheehan is a radically forceful political tool that endorses a belief her fallen military son would not have approved of. I grieve with those left after a soldier has fallen.... but when a mother of a fallen soldier goes against what her son strove and fought for... I utterly dislike the idea. She claims to be doing this for him, yet what she does goes against him and his comrades.

I find this interesting because I think there is a lot of potential here, for real. I have never stood behind a political figure like this b4. I believe in Tom Morello completely and back him 100%.
