  • I am glad I caught this clip. I started to think about Bill the other day. I was first thinking back to the time I learned he was the "blue collar guy made good" candidate. I felt bad for him, I thought about the idea that he could change things for the common guy. A guy like me. I also felt frustration with the way that the Republican house and senate completely smeared his presidency. The whole impeachment thing was outrageous and seemed to interupt and damage what could have been a way for politicians to make leaps and bounds for american society.
    But no, they went after him personally, at the expense of the American people. I believe in time the people pulling the strings behind the impeachment were exposed for they were, Liars, greedy pigs on corporate or lobbyist bankrolls, i.e. Tom Delay. But they won in the sense that there was severe backlash against progression, freedom, and the democratic party.
    I took a couple deep breaths and tried to let go of the idea that things might be different had this not occurred. But then.......
    HOW COULD BILL WORK SO HARD TO GET TO THE PRESIDENCY, TO BECOME THE PEOPLES PRESIDENT, AND THEN THROW IT ALL AWAY ON AFFAIRS WITH UNATTRACTIVE WOMEN WITH NO INTEGRETY WHATSOEVER. I could see if they were influential, or supermodels, but to put it all the line for a cheap thrill. IT STINGS BILL!!!!!!!!!! It really stings. I think a lot of people are mad at him. He could have been an excellent presisdent and have great influence now, but he gave it up for some nookie with an intern!! An intern!!!!!Maybe an affair with a diplomat, envoy, queen, princess, but an intern?????? He did to himself and he did to the nation. The republicans just used what he gave them.
    So yeah It's time to cut him some slack but we have some reasons to be a little trigger happy when it comes to giving him a hard time. Oh and still 16 years later.... When are the house and senate Democrats going to show up??????
