The people on Barack Obama's political team seems to have very similar ideas to politicians in power today. Is this change we can believe in?
Hopefully Barack Obama is not like them.

Oh we will see change all right if Comrade Obama gets in the White House. More taxes, more of our money to the U.S., less personal freedom, more regulations. In short, a more intrusive central government at the expense of the perople.
Comrade Obama is a solution to a problem that does not exist. -
We have him on video saying he will put an end to the Iraq war, but he wants to send troops into Pakistan. He also said he couldn't commit to ending the war before at least 2010. He's also talking about change, and he hasn't ever said what kind of change. Actually, I'm kind of afraid to ask!

and at least give a listen to "their side..."
if that's possible for you.... -
I have listened to HIS side. It sounds good like roses. The problem is that all of his ideas have been tried before. I believe they are communist socialist states.

@jason1973ti... i'm voting for Obama because The Bitch was so much FUTHER to the left on economic theories that Barack that there's NO way that i could support her, and i can't vote for McC because i want to preserve Roe v. Wade, and with maybe three Supremes retiring or worse in the coming years, i don't want four more years of God directing the President's actions in that direction.........
BUT, from listening to the O-man, i've gotten a strong impression that he HAS a brain and MAY be open to ideas that might not be as destructive to the economy as what he spouts on windfall profits and tax-the-rich policies.
in the end, i think he's smart enough to sound flexible enough to say the right things [as in APPROPRIATE] things to win over people from both sides of the aisle, and then we'll see what he REALLY does if/when he's elected. some presidents have been kind of surprising that way, eg, "read my lips... no new taxes" -- Bush Sr. -
All i know is that they are all politicians and shouldn't be trusted. In the end, its all their best interests and not ours. After all, this is a capitalist society we live in and last time i checked, we were on the bottom of that pyramid.

I think that it makes sense that Obama is putting people like this on his cabinet. Here you have a young man running for president who has had very few terms in political office prior to his running for president. The potential benefit to this is that Obama might not have been tainted by the political machine yet and could offer real change. However, the bad side is that he has very little experience and political connections. If he does get into office one of his biggest challenges will be pushing progressive ideas forward without the connections to back them up. By putting people on his staff with those connections, he might be able to make that weak point of his disappear. Also, if he puts people on his cabinet who disagree with him, it will give him an excellent way to prepare for debates against his proposals when it comes time to show them to congress.

Everyone needs to google the 10 planks of the communist manifesto. It will be enlightening to see just how many of these things are currently in practice.

Can someone please elaborate on this communism tie that keeps being referred to?
Also, OBAMA will further restrict our freedoms as Americans?? More than REPUBLICANS who are all but trying to completely eliminate all privacy rights, and/or rights to make personal choices for ourselves? REPUBLICANS who have utterly forgotten the importance of the separation of church and state and are only refraining from shouting from 'slandering' Obama with a half-baked rumor that he's a Muslim?? Are you kidding?? -
We need to forget about Republicans and Democrats, they have both sold us down the river. And the government cannot sell anything at cost. They always wind up losing a butt-load of money on everything they do. Why do you think the Canadians and British both are privatizing their health care?
Besides do you really want a trip to the doctor to be just like your trip to the B.M.V.?????????????-

@jason1973ti....... and why do Canadians and Brits come to the US to get medical care in a shorter time than they would because of the waiting lists they have at home?????
or haven't you read about that?
health care gets privatized because people like the idea of "the government paying for things" but don't have the memory cells available to recollect the concept that "the government doesn't pay for ANYTHING.... it collects your taxes, skims some bureacratic overhead off the top, then pays someone else to implement the "solutions"..." and many people think that the gumblement is doing them a favor....
you want to pass control of YOUR health to the same government that gave us Iraq, Blackwater, and Bush/Cheney's other privateers as "solutions"?????
that enough should give you pause about those "solutions."
"Only an entity that exists for the good of the people can create pay incentives in the best interest of the poeple at large, vs. profiteering. " .......... yeah, that's what they've given us so far, and YOU WANT MORE OF THAT?!?!?!?!?!?
wow....
i'd rather have a Consumer-Reports type of company just tell me which doctors have the worst success records and which hospitals have the best care at the lowest prices.
your "government benefactors" haven't been able to provide that for SO many other problems, and you want to hand your health care over to them....??????
