I love meat, but I'm strongly considering giving it up all together - not to mention the carbon footprint issue.

carbon foot print? darling a great steak or piece of meat raised naturally is quite delicious.... I couldnt give it up if I tried, however, I do agree that there has to be a sense of responsibility attached to every segment of our society including ranching... or I guess clone ranching?
does that mean all you need is like three cows and cloning machine...
has anyone ever seen a cloning device..
thatd be a great pod..-

I don't have a problem eating meat, I have a problem with feedlots and the distance we have put between ourselves and the lives we take for sustenance. This is so far beyond wrong I can't believe it, except that I can.
What really makes me angry is that this is no big deal because our society (no matter how much money they throw at PETA or say they love their pets) does not value animals. Decartes left us a cold and heartless legacy. Shit, we don't even value our children, not really.
Vegan, vegetarian, whatever, even cutting your meat intake down, all these things will help, because the truth is, animal protein is convenient, but there's a price to pay for that convenience. -
Yay, meat wins again. Sorry, but I can guarantee that there will always be meat-eaters in society.
The next step is lab-grown beef. They already have petri-dish bacon.-
