Anonymous is racist?

The hacker group known as Anonymous may have infiltrated a well known hip hop website and plastered it with racist images/messages - targeting non-white users.

Perhaps Anonymous (?) isn't racist and just wanted to assault the sensibilities of those who frequented the site.

Or perhaps it was another group or individual going by the same name...

- No word from anonymous as of this time.

    Apparently, the users were greeted with a homepage title that read "Jews did 9/11."

    I'm a little confused here. In the original link, there's no mention of Anonymous. I think there's some misunderstanding here. MTV is reporting that "A group or individual going by the name "Anonymous" has claimed responsibility." But is that necessarily the same group being discussed here?

    This is not an attempt to discredit anonymous, their sites are openly racist for the lulz. And trust me, racism would be the last thing you'd be offended by if you visited any of their sites.

    The odds are a lot better that it's a Scientology attempt to discredit Anonymous since it's easier to hijack the name than it being some of the members are racist.

    Mark Bunker has advocated more effective methods of protesting Scientology and this isn't one of them. Most of Anonymous seem to listen to him and call him "Wise Beard Man"

    Scientology tried to get Mark Bunker kicked off of YouTube since he was getting his message across and this is more likely another attempt to smear Anonymous.

  • you guys, you guys, relax. This could have been a racist person just using the alias of anonymous. The group has NOTHING to do with hip-hop. They only try to exploit scientology.

    The other thing is, it could have been a scientologist. They're quite scared of us, and have been doing things like this for awhile. don't be surprised if more stuff like this shows up under anonymous' name, and no one has any idea how it got there.

    Most these guys don't believe the garbage they post, but do it to gain their 15 seconds of internet fame and piss people off. By giving them any attention other then cleaning up their mess (and hopefully banning their IP from the site) you have taken away their power. Unfortunately this person got what they wanted, a sound clip from MTV and media mention, so they will most likely act out again.

  • Anonymous has many agendas and one, because it is many and one. To this day anonymous is the worlds only superconsciousness. This is one of the reasons I choose not to affiliate myself with anonymous.
