The Bush admin. told congress last year of expanding covert plans -which got approval according to the Boston.com- to destablise the country's regime as a part of a long-running plan, a report told yesterday in the New Yorker magazine.
The plans which allowed up to $400 million on activities included spying on Iran's nuclear plans & supporting rebels opposed to the country's ruling clerics, amongst the opposition groups the U.S. is allegedly supporting financially are Mujaheddin-e Khalq.
The admin. denys these claims. CIA declined to comment.
