The Army finds fault with their performance in Iraq. Although many mistakes were made and the Army is ready to own up to some of them the underlying responsibility still belongs to the administration for failing to listen to the experts and tailoring the information they did receive to suit their agenda.

  • This entire ordeal needs to be investigated for congressional prosecution. They need to go all the way back to the authoring of the PNAC document that detailed the new Pearl Harbor used define these synthetic enemies manufactured as a facade to smuggle in Oil Giants into Iraqi oil fields.

  • That's EXACTLY why oil is skyrocketing as we speak. The hole exercise was to secure oil and land in the Middle East. The high prices are just icing on the cake. It would be interesting to find out how many of Bush's buddies and family members put money into oil stocks just before the plan was executed.

  • Oil is traded in US dollars. As the US dollar devalues the price of oil goes up. As speculators continue to put a demand on future oil through option trading the price goes up. The price really starts to shoot up when the speculators take into account that next year's US dollar will be worth less than this year's US dollar, so they buy as many future contracts as possible. It's standard economics. Trade your devaluing US currency for oil contracts that will continue to rise in value. Finally the government continues to order large amounts of "fiat" money to be borrowed from the Federal Reserve, devaluing the currency further. The perfect storm for a crashing economy.
