Remember last November when a man called 911 to report a burglary, and then decided to shoot the thieves midway through the phone call? He killed both men, he was put on trial, but today he was cleared of all charges.
He was acquitted because, the grand jury thought that he was protecting himself.
Wow.

There was also a story of a black man that was attacked in his own home, he shot the guy to protect his family and he got arrested and charged,he purchased the gun legally and had no criminal background,+ the criminal sued the homeowner. boy,aren't some of you glad that you still live with your dad...?

Let's reverse the situation and make the burgulars white and the shooter black, Does anyone really believe the cop on the phone would have been so chatty with the killer? There would have been so many cops on the scene, with guns drawn shooting at the black man and ignoring the white burgulars.
Only Texas carries such bigotry to the point of vigilante! Shameful how the law applies to certain people (white) while the law is used to oppress another type of people.(blacks)

What sickens me most about this is that, if the races were reversed, there's no way in hell the shooter would have been cleared.

I was the victim of an inhome invasion as well as voilented by the criminals, however the differences between me and this vigilante are the following:
The 2 black men had broken into his neighbors house so this fat white racist was not in any danger, he choose to disobey the officer and took justice into his own hands. Who hell is he to decide these two men should be sentenced to the ultimate punishment especially when there was no victim involved.
Next when I was victimized I did not search for the criminals with a shot gun and shoot them in the back, that is not my right as victim, however my rights were given to me when we were in court. Both criminals are still encarcerated and not able to harm anyone else.
Lastly, how dare you question devastating event that I sufferred through, it is not your place question me idiot. Just for the record, I can't be racist in my being the child a white woman and black man, however I have a right to hate stupidity. So if you think you are so smart, why did the shooter call the police in the first place I'll tell you why, so he could validate his chance to murder two african americans. There is another factor that no one has taken into account, why were these two young stealing, maybe they were having a hard time suviving in a corrupt bush regime. Yes even this is bush fault! -

I'm not so concerned about the race, but you will find something interesting if you read the article. There is too much that is fishy about it. According to Horn's lawyer, he was protecting himself when the burglars came on to his lawn. This sounds weird because it also says that Horn confronted the burglars and shot them in the back. First, if you confront someone, doesn't that mean you are going on the offensive? Second, he shot them in the back? How could he shoot them in the back if he was protecting himself? It sounds like they weren't even aware of his presence. Either that or they were running away, in which case, Horn would not have to protect himself. If they were coming towards him, then he would have to shoot them in the front. Ultimately, I don't think Horn was really protecting himself. There is definitely something wrong with this story.
