This pod examines the all-ages gig culture in the UK in which musicians as young as 13 are suddenly finding success at a level that would make musicians twice their age green with envy...

  • This just seems- argh! It seems so undeserved! And to see what success does to people twice their age-- I can only imagine what it's like being 13 and told by so many people how special and wonderful you are...

I mean-- that's got to feel so good having that kind of success, and I hope these kids have happiness from being able to do what they (presumably) love, but I don't know that I would feel right encouraging my own kids to pursue something like this. It feels like too much too soon, you know?

Hm. Have to think about this a little more...

  • I think it is great! I have seen kids as young as 10 singing and playing and that is great! About success and fame, just do not let that go over your head!

  • i wanted to go to Underage festival... but I'm too old... no booze there anyway, so screw them!

    Just kidding.

On another note... I quite like Bombay Bicycle Club.
