  • Thats horribal! with all the pollution destroying the ozone layer the heat is just going to get worse. It seems like every year the forest fires just become a bigger problem.

  • We have destroyed the natural cycles. Mother Nature will show us no mercy for our exploitations.

  • I'm in Santa Rosa, CA and it was really smokey last week. It's clearing up a little though, I feel sorry for Mendocino County just north of me, the people there have warnings to not leave their houses because of the danger to their health. When the smoke was bad I was staying inside as much as I could, the pollution that this has put in the atmosphere is unfathomable, I weep for this planet!

  • Its really hard for me to watch this because so many people I know have been affected by these fires. Many of my friends and family have had to evacuate or watch the horizon in fear to see if the smoke plumes are getting closer.

In addition to all the fires, all the lakes and rivers are at an all time low. Our once beautiful state (and planet for that matter) are being destroyed at an alarming rate.

  • 1450+ and counting... a California record! And I didn't think our smog could get worse, it's been truly horrible here in the Bay Area. ~ With two very little kids, we've been virtual shut-ins for almost a week. The couple of days we did venture out, we came home feeling like we had spent the day in a Los Angeles traffic jam (ie: headache, coughing, watery eyes, sore throat, etc.)!!!!

  • It really is so sad the amount of fires continuing to devastate around california. My dad is a firefighter captain and has been up north for the past 2 weeks leading the strike teams on the front lines. From the looks of it, things are just going to get worse.

  • Fires really have been getting worse and worse here. It's really sad. Arnold is absolutely right too, the change in our environment is unquestionable. Fire season -is- all year round now.
