  • In 2006, I went to carnival on the Argentinian side of the Uruguayan border. The entire weekend everybody was chanting "No a las papeleras" to the tune of "Seven Nation Army."

It was a drunken protest song against the Uruguayan paper factories that are polluting the river.

I started chanting "no a las papas fritas."Because I thought french fries were more damaging than paper factories.

But they taste so much better.

  • that's awesome! I'd like to hear what Jack White has to say about this.
Enrique, the answer is no, we don't hear you. Sorry amigo, that's not a good fight song by a long shot.

  • I'm not a big fan of the remix, but I love the original. It definitely goes well with a victory.

  • Enrique Iglesias' song is just sh*t.
I'd like to know what WS think about this strange kind of popularity: everybody sings their song without knowing the lyrics or the real authors :P

    Very interesting clip, well done!

  • This is actually quite common in football.
In many parts of the world you take the riff from any song and you add your own lyrics but in south america they compliment it with drums and trumpets.
Heres one from my favorite club in Mexico but this is just a chant that was made up
