Badass of the year right here folks.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission biologist Adam Warwick just couldn't let the bear drown, so he took off his shirt and dive after it. The 375 lbs black bear had been spotted in a residential area, obviously looking for food, and was shot with a tranquilizer dart. Unfortunately, before it went under, it jumped in the water of the Gulf of Mexico. More photos and a video below.

There's some pictures of the rescue here. It's slightly less badass once you realise the bear was virtually unconscious but he's still quite the man.
He's got one of the best chat-up lines for the rest of his life now: "So, wanna see some pictures of me saving a bear from drowning?" -
Whether it was conscious or not, he still swam out there and dealt with a semi-awake bear that could have drowned him if it panicked.
That's some nerve and a love for animals he's got!-

It always amazes me as to what lengths some people will go to get on the tv news. It`s just the same with the oddballs who appear on Judge Judy and Oprah.
