  • Arctic Monkeys is a great band, and will only get better with time. I look forward to listening to anything they put out. can't wait!

  • ahhhh.... the Arctic Monkeys, I remember when they were 17 and playing basements and people's birthday parties in Sheffield. And drinking alcopops in the Leadmill.

    Still don't think they've ever managed to recapture the excitement of the early demos and that.
    Then again that might be just subconscious indier-than-thou snobbery on my part.
    And the 2nd album actually had some good songs on.

  • I'm really interested to see how this turns out, especially as they've been doing some stuff apart, like The Last Shadow Puppets. I wonder what the 3rd album will bring... weird experimentation? More of the same? No pressure, but this is their chance to show if they're in it for the long haul...

  • on a similar note i saw The Rascals on TV the other day... and i have to say... i think they're pretty rubbish

    think Last Shadow Puppets are a bit overrated too.... I'd rather just go straight to the root and listen to Scott Walker, and then go straight to the root from him and listen to Javques Brel
