Hipsters in Space

I don't get all the hipster hate on current... It seems like half of the programming on this network is specifically designed for them.

I agree Zaffo. Current has hipster written all over it but this wasn't bad, I like to see that they aren't "too hip" to poke fun at themselves a little bit.

That's the thing. Nobody knows if they're a hipster or not, even though everyone else does. Zaffo is saying what lots of people are noticing about Current.

This is not the last we've heard of Gorgon. He shall return, skinnier and more Alt than ever!

I mean, don't get me wrong, I thought it was funny, and i'll declare myself a hipster right here. But c'mon, there's a ton of hipster content on current, from the hipster olympic pod to the countdown on bikes and of course all the pods on independent fashion. Not to mention the Fix? It's just silly how part of being a hipster is hatin' on hipsters.

Someone go ahead and define hipster. Because I think both SuperNews and the Fix are just putting material out there that isn't already out there...but making sure everyone is represented is important but difficult i'm sure...

Current can't be hip cause I watch it. As my son will tell you, if I am somehow connected with it, by definition it can't be hip.

Aoki is a rich mother fucker with expensive shoes. The kidz seem to like him though because they are so distracted/directed by entertainment, consumerism, and shiny clothes.

I think Current is for the socially aware. And, if most of society is not socially aware, than we probably are hipster, but in a good way.
