It's a sign of how totally fragmented our popular culture has become, both on- and offline, that I had never heard of Fred before reading this LA Times piece. He is a *huge* star by any standard -- wait 'til you see the stats in the piece. Mind-boggling.

i do now! hahawt! i thought this kid was on helium at first. i watched a few others and found that this seems to be the first one that the Zipit got a URL for at the end. Makes me wonder if this is a long term viral campaign or just a company that found the right kid on youtube at the right time. nonetheless, it's quite funny to me :DD

He says boobs, he says pee and his voice has been pitch shifted, doesn't hurt that he's easy on the average pre-teen girl, and camp guy eye. Good for Fred, ride it while it lasts kid. Look forward to seeing the washed up car crash that ensues, and I hope it's on youftube.

I t's hard to get me to laugh at anything. I guess it's a (character defect), but I laughed all the way through that Fred skit. That's real humour.

I'm couldn't get through the whole thing. I think the article sums it up perfectly:
"His antics are Kryptonite for grown-ups, repelling any but the most vigorous attempts to watch an entire episode and keeping us in the dark about why kids seem to love him so much."
Still, 5 millions views per video. Wow.
His delivery reminds me of Ashton Kutcher's Punk'd presenting style. Irritating but oddly gripping. -

i don't personally find it funny, although for the attention deficit disordered youf of today i can see the catch.
its funny how mash up music is so hot right now, and this weird style of mix and mash seems to be bleeding into comedy too.. these trends and styles come and go, being funny is inborn and not really something that can be learned through clever editing and helium, but it certainly works for now... -
Brilliant. I must have attention deficit disorder. Insanely irritating, but totally entertaining. I love the bit where he's being chased. Timing is so important in comedy, so the clever editing (does he do it all himself?) is proof of comedy skills, not some frivolous add on.
