Hosts Jeremy Clarkson and James May were shown drinking while driving as they tried to make it to the magnetic north pole in their Polar Special. The BBC Trust criticised the show for glamorising the misuse of alcohol.
But, the show's executive producer defended the move saying they were in international waters where drink driving laws don't matter.

Its Top Gear, normaly I love thier arogant over the top antics but this one is hard to accept. Drinking and driving is one thing gearheads and auto enthusiasts shouldnt be getting behind. Its dangerous enough to be driving sober in an enzo, veyron, pagani, or murcialago, let alone doing that impaired. I seriously doubt the stig drinks and drives. Actualy I am not certain the stig even drinks????
