Bush hopes to send more troops to Afghanistan

President Bush announced that it has been a "tough month" in Afghanistan, as more troops have died in Afghanistan than in Iraq the last two months. Bush said the reason for the increased deaths "is that our troops are taking the fight to a tough enemy ... of course there is going to be resistance." It has also been a "tough month for the Taliban," he said.

Adm. Mike Mullen of the Pentagon hopes that troops will be able to shift to Afghanistan by the end of this year.
