Disney and Pixar are at it again with their highly anticipated animated summer movie, Wall-E. Does this little robot join the ranks of Nemo and Toy Story? Current viewers give their review.

I am more with Kristian on this one. How can you guys hate this film?? It was the most beautiful animation I have ever seen. If only you knew how they animated it maybe then would you appreciate it.
-
Wow, you guys are grouchy, I loved this movie, thought it was amazing.

I agree that it wasn't as funny as other Pixar films, and I also agree that it was a little lesson heavy. But you have to admit it was pretty to look at. Go see it on the big screen for sure.
-
See I thought it was a little boring, but I enjoyed it
-
I LOVE WALL-E!!!!! You guys are funny but WRONG!!!!
-
yeah, this movie was so imaginative and audacious and beautiful and above all, human...
but if you're expecting to see talking animals voiced by steve carrell and cameron diaz, then yeah, i guess it would be disappointing... -
It felt like I was watching a painting come alive with a robot I felt could be my best friend. Mark and Kristian- you broke my heart.

Wow, I've been turning to you guys for movies reviews for a while now but after seeing this i had to make an account just so i could let you know how wrong you are.
The animation was amazing, at times I forgot that this was a not filmed but rather created. The story and character (although looking a lot like jonny 5), were unique and interesting.
As to the lack of dialogue, a movie doesn't need to have slapstick comedy/humor to be interesting for the first 40 minutes, unless u suffer from ADHD. Learn to take in the sights they are providing you and maybe try contemplating the world wall-e lives in to get some understanding of what is going on.
Another thing, don't complain about your experience with theater goers! No one cares you couldn't find a good seat.
I am sorry but you guys have lost something, and after this - i may just have to go see Love Guru or Zohan. Because although you say those films sucked, that just might mean they were amazing. -
Swedutch,
I didn't hate this film at all and I had NO problem with the non talking in the start of the film. I thought it was one of the most visual stunning film I have seen this year live action or animation with the exception of The Fall.
My biggest problem is that all I had heard about Wall-E before I saw it was that it was the greatest animation film ever, etc... It was slow-
Without ruining anything- there is a certain part of the movie where it reaches a lull. I found the character of Wall-E endearing, I was rooting for him the entire time and I do recomend the film.
I just say- Don't expect Nemo or Incredibles or Toy Story. It is a completely diffent type of Pixar film and it has a fantastic message.
As far as seeing Guru- If you hate yourself that much and want to torture yourself- please by all means, go see it.

I saw it last night and this film was BRILLIANT. Loved every bit of it and it was truly imaginative. Sorry but this Lowdown has jumped the shark. Lowdown FAIL!
-
The term "jump the shark" has jumped the shark.
-
saying that the term "jump the shark" has jumped the shark has jumped the shark.
-
castaway without wilson???
thats it, im not watching this thing.
i had a bad feeling about wall-e (mainly because of the shortcircuit resemblense) but now im sure. -
I agree with these guys. Wall-E was no Love Guru.
-
It was so boring, I found myself wanting the movie to rush to the end.
-
I have to agree with these guys. Snore. I haven't watched a cartoon to learn or to get emotionally involved in a love story since I was 9. I watch cartoons now to laugh (ala Family Guy) and giggle (ala Nemo).
-
THIS MOVIE WAS THE BEST EVER YOU PEOPLE ARE VERY DUMB.
ROBOTS + FUTURE + LOVE STORY + SLAPSTICK COMEDY = GOLD -
i'm a fan of urs but honestly this is the worst lowdown u guys have ever done!!

You guys have never seen a silent film? That's what this movie reminded me of. It had the enderaing qualities (with some talking) of a silent film. With it heavily relying on gestures and facial expressions to get the story across.
It's nothing like Pixars previous films and that's what makes Pixar and Disney awesome. None of their cartoons are the same as the others. They each are unique and untouched by any other animated film that has been created within proximity.
There are a lot of classic films that have long beginnings without talking that are awesome and some that are not. Such as 2001: A Space Odyssey and There Will Be Blood.
Movies can be great without having logorrhoea. I think Wall-e was a laconic movie and that it was created as it should have been.
Of course not everyone is going to like it....as we can all hear. =P
edit....
and I'd like to say that I'm throughly entertained by these reviews no matter if I agree with their opinion or not. Keep up the good job. =) -
And what about the Bunny short before the movie. That was funny and lacked any lines.
-
Bunny short was very clever, fun.
-
Hold on - how can a summer movie be highly anticipated? It's not a summer movie for nothing.
-
What the hell? I just saw this peice on tv and saw these guys tear this movie apart. Seriously?
I loved this movie, I'm considerig seeing it again before it leaves the theatre. I have listened to current lowdown reviews before but maybe I need to start taking these opinions with a grain of salt.
Great movie, don't listen to these guys.

I think that y'all were looking at this film the wrong way.
It has so much hidden meaning to it, along with some in-your-face stuff, some of which is really scary..and eye-opening.
I think it had a great balance of incredible animation, a realistic feel, and a lot of messages to-well, everyone-that we need to be acting NOW.-

This movie wasn't bad because of the lack of dialogue,it was bad because it WASN'T ENTERTAINING!!!!!!!!Isn't that the point of any film?I found moments to latch on to during the longest 1hr40mins of my life, and I did love the underlying message, but I didn't laugh,I didn't cry,and most importantly-I didn't care!Thank you to Kristian,Mark and the rest of you for trying to save the movie-going public $12.
-
I think they are just bitter because they can't understand the greatness of robot love from the future.

Hello everyone out there. This is Kristian, one of the reviewers in the piece. I don't believe I have got one response to what I have said about this film. Big deal- Sebastian/ Steve/ Mike didn't like the film. So what? It is their opinions, the film didn't touch them the way it did for the rest of you.
As far as Mark and I go, I think that because of the equal air time all the reviewers received, a lot of our thoughts were lost in translation.
I LIKED this movie a lot- my point was that I didn't love it. I had heard all of these things and I guess I set the bar too high.
THE POSITIVES: What I had said was that right away that these comparisons came right away to Short Circuit- and I think the only similarity is the look of the robot after that it ends. WALL E was a character I got behind and I rooted for from start to finish. I thought the animation was BRILLIANT. It was a well crafted film with a believable love story between two robots.
THE NEGATIVES: I thought the story had a lot of momentum until we meet all the humans. For a large part of the film (no pun intended) the pace slows down and then the love story revs up again and I thought it closed strong.
I am not asking anyone to agree with my opinion, it is your own. I appreciate everyone watching and I love you all! -
bum that..i really enjoyed wall-e.I thought it was really good and the animation was outstanding
-
No one is faulting you dude, I have seen the pods before- I listen to you normally. Didnt agree with other dudes this go around. I dug this movie and it sounded like you did to. Peace to all!

Can I be honest? I didn't love it. I really wanted to but I just kept waiting for more. The animation was beautiful and I did cry a few times with Wall-E and Eve. I wish there was more of them on Earth. I appreciated the message with all the fat humans but couldn't that have been done on the planet? I thought the out of space thing took me out of it. I'm a girl though so maybe I am wrong.
As far as the critics, I think a few of them were a bit harsh but I think a few of them hit it on the head. Sorry if I offended anyone, but I wanted to love it if that helps!!! -
This is one of the best films I have seen in a long time, so I don't understand their problem with it. They must have extreme ADD or something. Just look at all the positive comments here for this movie.
If they couldn't sit through "Wall-E", I'm scared to think of what they would say about "The Fall"...-

I'm sorry, but my son and I loved it. The movie had a lot to say and the beauty was that it didn't require a lot of words to say it. So what if it wasn't realistic..., hello.., it's a cartoon. What's important is the encrypted themes hidden between the animation; the things that are truly important: love, kindness, bravery, integrity, opening your eyes to the world around you, the disconnection in society and how we need to get reconnected, our disconnection with the environment and how we need reconnection with the earth and start giving a damn before it's too late. Those are the underlying themes that this movie is trying to say.
If you're going to give a report on a movie you must find the true meaning in the movie.-

i can't believe how off these guys are! i have never been that excited about pixar before, but this movie was amazing - smart, challenging, and super beautiful - i guess i am a fan of slow development and quietness in movies
-
Cough up the $10 to see it again, but this time pop your Ritalin first. Then see if you like it.
I loved when that one dude said, "It was like castaway but there was no wilson" though. That was good. -
K and M, thanks for the movie review. I have been planning on seeing this movie and still will but now I know not to expect Nemo. Good to know especially since that is what I was thinking it would be and would have been sorely disappointed had I gone to the flick without seeing the review first. Keep up the good work!
