so my father is a librarian in one of Michigan's Prisons. He told me that Child molesters and woman abusers usually get the most punishment in prison. Meaning, THEY GET JUMPED and BEATEN....possibly more.

Uhh... I agree that he should do his time, but is that time he is spending in prison accurate and if it is accurate, is it reasonable? Why not just say life in prison? Saying 4060 years in prison like he is actually going to serve all those years. What's the purpose of that? Anyway, he will have a lot of cell mates.

The 4,060 years sentence was moral outrage in action. What becomes of him in prison will be much like what he inflicted on those he abused. That's real justice.

It's great that this guy will receive a just punishment and all etc. etc. etc, but 43 child sex abuse accounts? Obviously, there had to be adults who knew what were going on. It is reported that an abused girl told her mother, "however, no action was taken."
Instead of celebrating our victory, we need to recognize our defeat--43 children (at least) have been irrevocably hurt. Why couldn't they find someone to help them? Where were their parents, counselors, and police officers? Why can things like this happen at all?

why do these prison terms of 4,000 years exist?? yeah...like he is really going to live THAT long. Can't we stick with the basics like..let him rot in jail till the day he dies?

Well, he'll be eligable for parole in the year 3,010 AD, so don't hold your breath.

The scentencing is similar to that of the BTK killer. But he only got 10 consecutive life senteces for 10 gruesome murders with earliest possible release date of February 26, 2180.

The heavy sentencing is also necessary due to overturned convictions. If say 20 counts get overturned, he still has the other 23 on him. And the counts are not per child, they are for specific instances of abuse which means 20 counts could be for just one child. I'm not a lawyer but it seems that there is no real way for this guy to get out of jail ever. I mean, if they won't allow the death penalty for child rape, then this is our only option to prevent him from ever harming another child.
Why the mother of one never did anything about it in 2007 is why these guys continue to abuse. Parents have to react but since she didn't, that is another crime.

I find it hard to stomach that taxpayer $ will feed, clothe & house this scumbag with NO redeeming social value whatsoever. Every day sick adults will continue to sexually abuse innocent children somewhere in this country whether they care or know that the worst-case scenario is life in prison if they are caught-which most are not. However, their innocent victim’s will struggle for the rest of their scarred lives, coping everyday in their own virtual prisons-living a different type of life sentence.

Regardless of his sentence, it’s doubtful, but not impossible, that this piece of shit will ever see freedom again. But to insure he’s incapable of ever committing another heinous crime, as he will remain a danger until he draws his last breath, we need to eliminate this possibility entirely. The judicial systems of some countries remove the hand of a thief or the head of a murderer. When will we stop coddling these depraved individuals & get to the root of the problem and just castrate the bastards.

My personal choice would be a garrote to remove EVERTYTHING quickly & cleanly. To satisfy anyone defending him with the overused “cruel & unusual punishment” (as he subjected his victims to dozens of times), give him a tube of numbing gel so he can say goodbye to his best friend before the pain free removal process. Animals like this don’t deserve chemical castration. At this point, they’ve given up their right to carry a concealed weapon & will surely give other pedophiles something to think about. But until this happens, at least some solace can be gained knowing his dance card will be full for many years to come.

This is about a really, TRULY fucked up sense of American priorites, think about this for a second. Now, imagine if they had all been assault charges instead, if he had tortured, mutilated and brutalized 43 children (or did it 43 times) instead. You can bet your ass the children would be far more traumatized if they were missing fucking fingers and were beaten and tortured then if they were molested. And keep in mind this man is a child molester, not a child rapist. He did not rape anyone, he just sexually abused them. I can guarantee you that no one that has mutilated, assaulted or tortured a child has EVER gotten a verdict like this.

Why? Because Americans are fucked up and most of them consider perverted assholes to be more of a threat to society than serial killers, which actually IS a HUGE problem in this country.

What does that mean from a justice standpoint? That 43 counts of RAPE (and people have been charged with that) is not as serious as 43 counts of child molestation. Think that's a little fucked up? What hope is there for our Republic if none of you can actually think about these things rationally? Why don't they just call it a "life sentence" and have call the 25 year "life sentence" be 25 years?
