Obviously, the Keeper is not for every woman, but only one woman in my extended circle of Keeper experimenters ever chose to discard hers and return to tampons. If you think the Keeper may be for you, I encourage you to investigate this low-cost, low-impact option. It's not any "grosser" than what we've all been doing since the tender age of 12, to be printably vague. It is a sanitary, environmentally friendly method compatible with white pants, volleyball games, and soft music wafting in the background while you run in slow motion on the beach

My ex has been using one for years and loves it. All of the anarcho-punk women i know use 'em... No corporation is gonna push a one-time sale over hooking you for life...Taking back our bodies, women AND men, is one of the first steps to regaining freedom....
-
HAhaha... I'm such a kid, why do I think this is so funny. Well, I am high as shit. I was already imagining the commercial for the product in my head. I seriously can't stop laughing. I'm obviously immature.
But yeah, women do enough damage when they are on their "rag", they might as well help mother nature while the wreak their havoc. HAHAHAHA.
P.S.
I love the name, "The Keeper", I thought this post was gonna be about like a video game or like some cult or something. -
Simple to use, both The Moon Cup and The Keeper are innovative feminine hygiene products that are worn internally, freeing women from dependency on cumbersome, uncomfortable, expensive, paper-based products. Economical, efficient, comfortable, and environment-friendly, reusable menstrual cups are attractive alternatives to other feminine hygiene products. Made by a woman for women, The Keeper (natural gum rubber) and The Moon Cup (medical grade silicone) are both FDA-approved and the only menstrual cups made in America.
Why isn't this more popular?
I just heard (actually read) about it today... -
why do I even ask?
money n greed
fuck the environment-

What did you have to change?

I've heard of these but have not tried it yet. It's kinda freaky but I see how it could be a good thing.

Interesting product.
It's lack of being well known is probably due to it not being attractive (or, "womanly pretty enough for tv" as PR Guys might say..."Can we paint...I dunno...butterflies on it and make it bright pink?") and fall-apart disposable, mandatory for repeated purchases. -
Great idea!

Thats really cool. Will tell the lady friends.
Thanks- -
It looks like a toilet plunger.
I remember my old girlfriend back in Cali, she used to wear a diaphragm, but it was for birth control. I remember it kinda made me feel strange when she asked me to try and put it in for her. I had to close my eyes and hide. -
I don't even what your talkin about here ... but I'm somehow scared and feelin a bit uneasy ...
-
I just ordered one! I probably spend about the same amount of money on ordinary periodic supplies every two months. I love the idea of this, if it's as freeing and comfortable as they say and not too messy.
It appeals to me because I'm a "trisexual" -- I'll try anything once. (no, did not coin that term but it's from the Samantha Jones character on the Sex and the City movie.)
Ha ha.
Thanks Jade for this link.-

Wow, what a great invention!
I read one woman bought her Keeper in 1992 for $35, never knew this product existed. Not that I have a need, but will pass it along. Thanks for the info jade_azul.
Found this as well http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstrual_cup -
Way more safe than a tampon. No joke: a friend of mine in highschool (circa 1982) died of TSS due to prolonged tampon use (for the record, 6-hours).
I'm all about it. Not dying of TSS and helping to save the environment that is.-

I've tried one and stuck with it for several months, but just couldn't beat the convenience and cleanliness of a tampon. I won't go into sordid details here, but suffice it to say that you must periodically (hahahha) remove the Keeper and empty it out, clean it, then re-insert it. Doing this in a public restroom where there is no washing sink near a toilet is not really practical.
BUT for days when you're staying home or whatever, it works just great!
