A teenager is being charged for the death of her half-sister after her and a friend literally beat the 7-year-old girl to death while 'recreating a scene from Mortal Kombat'.

  • Two seventeen year olds beat a seven year old to death and blame a video game????? WTF????? I remember when mortal kombat first came out on supernintendo, and no way a couple of 17 year old kids beat a 7 year old to death mimicking mortal combat!!! WHAT A COP OUT!!! THey killed that little girl and now they are trying to blame a video game, like it is a get out of murder free card!!! And the girl is testifying against the boy?? It was her half sister!!! SHE SHOULD HAVE PROTECTED HER!!! This is sick and both those 17 year olds should be tried and convicted as ADULTS!!!! One year shouldn't change what they get for MURDER!!! THEY KNEW BETTER!!!

  • I don't think they are blaming a video game at all. These kids are sick in the head and I do not think the punishment fits the crime. She KILLED a child! She should be in jail!

  • You would think after the first few hits the kid would say something. Its obvious these two teens just went out of their minds. I could imagine the 7 year old being a pain in the ass for the teen - and considering she isn't actually family the 17 year old just wants to "kill her". (like every teen says)

  • They were old enough to know what murder is. They should spend life in prison, with no chance of parole. They knew what they were doing, they were torturing an innocent 7 year old child. Were they drug tested? Where was the mother?

  • It really pisses me off as a gamer when some kid blames his actions on a video game. This only fuels the intolerance of games and Jack Thompson's craziness.

    The facts are these were 17 year old's who killed a kid and had no one else to blame but themselves.

  • I remember when this shit first came out I didn't hear any mention about mortal combat. It is interesting that the girl is now willing to testify against the boy. Don't play stupid everyone knows you are both responsible for the poor childs death.

  • This is becoming more and more severe and concerning. Kids re-enacting scenes from gory horrific movies that causes fatalities because it's "cool". I wish that the people and companies that create and release them would take some responsibility.

  • not to sound sick...but i wonder what fatalitiy they used? the one where they rip out the spine? or the heart.....or did they use the lui kan dragon biting off the head...? i cant see what one they could have used.....seriously? does anyone know?
