The authors of the LA Times piece are from the business and legal communities. Not drug crazed maniacs, but sober, mature and realistic.
The statistics quoted about crime going down (murder) after the repeal of prohibition show just one of the beneficial effects we could have in our society if our drug laws reflected reality. -
We didn't learn anything from prohabition?
We have prisons clogged with people who harmed no one but themselves. -
Prohibition only serves those who profit from it not those it pretends to protect.
