In what some are hailing as one of the greatest finals in modern history, Rafael Nadal beat Roger Federer in a painfully close match on the centre court at Wimbledon.

Nadal missed two championship points in the fourth set but clawed his way back to win a dramatic rain-interrupted match 6-4 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 6-7 (8-10) 9-7.

    • Could that picture be any more biased? We all know that Nadal wasn't the favourite, but how much of a 'child' does the editor at BBC want us to think he is?

    • Hands down the most exciting game of tennis I've seen. To use my favourite sporting broadcaster cliche "this is what the game's all about".

    • Some of Nadal's cross court shots were jaw dropping, I think he deserved it much more than Federer.

And because yesterday, we figured that Federer is the spitting image of Raef from the Apprentice.

    • It was a great match because of the quality of play and points being won instead of someone making a bunch of unforced errors.

    • Agreed: That was the best match I have ever seen. The two best players in the world, both on fire and matching each other shot for shot; it felt like there shouldn't have been a loser.

    • christ on a bike; watching him make that tearful ascent to the VIP box to celebrate with padre Nadal sure was emotional. It'll be hard to forget the moment he fell to that dew-laden turf - Ditto R7, this sure was Epic.

      What a summer for España.
