That's pretty intense that the crowd estimates were 1000-1500 for the march and 500 neo-nazis. Plus, 500 neo-nazis in one place seems high in itself, but perhaps gay pride is a topic that brings out their full force. I'd find it very intimidating to have a third as many people protesting the event as participating in it!

Good for the police for doing their job so well - the injuries were sustained by the police, and with moltov cocktails in the mix, it could've been a lot worse than 8 injured cops. so kudos to them for being on it!

This will be a constant thing. Acceptance will come from many areas but it is always the small minority that will cause problems.

That's the reason there is war. That is the reason why there is murder. That is the reason why there are suicide bombers and people who protest hatefully.

Just like no one cares when they hear that another bomb has killed so many in Afghanistan or Iraq. If one is to state people do...one only has to look at the news that rises to the top here to see that's not true.

i think Nazis should be taken more seriously.. to me they are an accepted group..and this...this is by no means acceptable.

the way i feel, these people are not part of a mindless hate group..they are an organised system, they have a heiracy and a set of beliefs that stem further back than many will realise in this life time...

Hate always finds a way to burrow deep into the hearts of the fearful, and once it is there, it is so hard to push out. My heart goes out to the brave marchers who kept going even though they faced so much hate and violence.

There was a Nazi rally in my city a year or so ago. The Nazi paraders were instructed to just mind their own business and ONLY parade...and they did.

The violence, however, came from the protesters. They lept over fences and tried to beat the Nazis in the parade. It was a reversal of roles, now the non-Nazis were attacking the Nazis, unprovoked.

Now I'm not sticking up for Nazis, but its just interesting how people can be hypocritical.

This really saddens me. Hate groups like neo-Nazis or the KKK will continue to practice and proliferate. The US Gov't has a list of "terrorist organizations" that we are aimed at destroying. I'd like to know if the neo-Nazis and/or the KKK are on that list.

It seems more and more these kind of stories involving Nazi are appearing in the media. Hopefully it wont scare the masses like the red scare did. And I hope their blond or bald , blue-eyed Nazi heads explode with the weight of their own hate.

my friends who're gay are old school - they'd call anyone at a parade a "fairy" . all "gays" are not the same . to each their own , but not one of my buddies would be out in a parade , as if to say "look at me , i'm gay " .

Sooner or later some number of these hate groups turn on their fellow members and slaughter them. Hope there is news of people in both groups waking up and dropping out.

Ultimately, it seems like the motivation for getting a group to attack outsiders is so that the group can eventually be trained to attack themselves. Then the leader has more power within that group.

I did not know this was still happening in Europe. I thought people living there had their fill of that.

If the courts make the rioters pay to replace the police cars and treat the officers' injuries, that ought to keep them out of trouble for the next several years!
