"Mr. Bugliosi said bookers for cable television, where he has made regular appearances to promote books, have ignored his latest offering. MSNBC and Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” were two outlets Mr. Bugliosi had thought would show interest, but neither did.

The New York Times reports that ABC Radio also refused to accept an ad for the book during the Don Imus show."

  • Didn't the murderer in chief just mention free speech this weekend as the SS hauled away protesters trying to exercise that right.? What a pathetic excuse for democracy we have become. I wonder if we will be able to get current to run this pod? doubtful but hopefull

  • Impeach and Imprison.

Censorship and press blackouts are the currency of the Bush/Cheney Neocons.

When my book IT STOPS WITH ME was banned in my hometown library in 2005 and "liberal" Bard College President Leon Botstein advocated in writing for its banning, there was a press blackout, even after the ALA, PEN USA, PEN American Center and the RI ACLU did a successful campaign to get the book reinstated in the library.

Books are always attacked by police states. Today, they don't burn books, they just make them invisible by keeping them out of the media through blackballing and blacklisting authors.

  • Nothing will ever happen to Bush as long as he's in good with the ruling elite.

Remember Nixon. Everyone thinks he was going to be impeached because of Watergate. Well, that was the official reason and focus of congress. But the reason they all mobilized against him was because he started screwing around with the dollar and gold in something called the Nixon Shock. This f'd up the system in which the ruling elite were making all their money. So the people who represent the ruling elite: congress, stepped in a took action.

Now, Bush has a lot more political power than Nixon ever had. As long as he keeps this war going and the military active, he won't be held accountable for anything. He's just a puppet anyway, he probably wouldn't be able to tell anything too in depth about his policies.

  • People, many people did not even realized that we need to understand the different failures of a President but most of it is due to the Force of Survival.

Sometimes, we need to fight to survived because if we did not do that, we will die.

Even myself if needed in time of needs, i will kill people because i want to survived.

Politics is dirty.... Politics is horrible.... many people abused the one who have the power to protect them and they destroy them using a hired killer even a drug syndicate.

If we did not fight against evil, Even George W. Bush will die....

Horrible truth about politics is that, many politicians destroy their rivals and killed them using drugs and sabotage even sending hired killers.

This is Philippines and not The United States of America.... in America, there are plenty of terrorists who abused power that the Government gave to them.

  • On the one hand this is bad. On the other hand, the major media outlets are slowly becoming irrelevant. It's places like Current I turn to more and more for my news.

  • Same old...same old...boring retorts and comments that NEVER ever have any reason to be said other than to be an alarmist or someone who only hates for living.

You scream for freedoms when they impede on other people's rights. You loved it when Bush's free speech was hindered but cried when those that were crushing his freedoms were hauled away because you claim they were doing free speech.

Now you are whining over a book that is being denied by people who have the right to deny access to their stuff as publicity.

    Is he dead?

Did he not get the word about his book?

What is exactly wrong is that y'all don't get what you want so you think your rights are hindered, when in fact you are proving that you have more of the right you are whining about.

  • Double standards: If it had been Clinton, mainstream media would have been all over it. They were all over sex of a President and the girl he had sex with. Sex sells, murder doesn't.

If George W. Bush is guilty of starting a war using fixed facts and fake documents, there needs to be an investigation. Unfortunately, no investigation. Two former Prosecutors wrote books detailing George W.'s crimes, no investigation? What would it take for George W. to be held accountable?

What would it take for mainstream media to report it?

  • I think we should rewrite history and call Abraham Lincoln a murderer. FDR a murderer. George Washington a murderer. Benjamin Franklin a murderer. Thomas Jefferson a Murderer.

Each had a hand in a war that killed thousands.

Let us do that now. Write a book even, make it more official.

  • The market place speaks. The MSM is so pathetic, they can't get any ad revenue and they are losing money.

He can run, but he can't hide! The next adminstration may "pardon" him but the international community, where we have be behaving poorly, may not pardon him. Which South American country did you say he was going to move to?

  • This is a talented, articulate lawyer and best-selling author of many previous titles. His work is being systematically ignored by big-media outlets on the basis of the subject matter of his book, otherwise known as black-listed. This is not simply a matter of a poorly written and researched project. The work is being ignored as part of an effort to keep the American people complacent and distracted with the normal flow of meaningless drivel while the crimes and corruption continue.

I really have to wonder about folks who defend the repression of media outing this murderous administration. In China, you can figure they are either being paid by the CCP or are simply self-appointed defenders of an insane ideology. Over here, it is probably just plain old ignorance combined with bad diet and substance abuse.

Fond of fascism or simply caffeinated Rush-monkeys?

    You be the judge.

  • I think those that defend the book do so only because they believe the book's title or what it has to say and not because it's some right for him to have his say.
    J_Jammer
  • The author's right to say or write whatever he wants is not in question; he was published and no one is threatening to arrest him.

This article is about systematic repression of the material by corporate media to the point where they wont even accept airing the fact of its existence as a paid advertisement. That is a political decision.

  • Yes it is in question, because I believe the only reason anyone who is backing him is doing it solely because they agree and not for the justification of his right to have his voice heard.

I do not think that any of you would be going through the same painstaking stance of pointing this out if you totally disagreed with the book in question.

  • Remember Vinny Bugliosi put Charles Manson away. He was the LA prosecutor. He's got a 25 and 1 record on murder trials. He's not some "lefty" wing nut. Read the book!!!

  • Bush is a heartless murderer who picks his nose and watches cartoons all day. When he get orders from his masters he goes on trips and photo-ops. Bush is also a gutless chicken-hawk who went AWOL when he was supposed to be serving. Our US personnel are being killed every day in Iraq and Pakistan and this does not concern King George in the least. He works for his multi-national corporate puppet masters and the American People/Constitution are the only impediments to his objectives. Anyone who glorifies him is nothing more than a Nazi boot licker who proclaims, long live the king! I see all real Americans squatting down and dropping a steaming load on the kings pointed head.
