"The Longest Walk2" Arrives at Washington D.C. July 11, 2008

We are in need of news coverage on the East Coast at the finale of "The Longest Walk 2". The walkers and runners have been making their way across the U.S. since February, honoring all of Mother Earth, the sacred sites, and cleaning the earth along the way. It is also a tribute to the late, Floyd Red Crow Westerman & Vernon Bellecourt ,who dedicated their lives to the honoring and preservation of Mother Earth

We don't have a lot of money or funding for the final Cultural Ceremony, and really would like to get the message out to everyone about the 30 year dedication of these folks and their mission of Honoring Mother Earth;, the ancestors, and Elders, "Healing the Planet". It would be great if we could also have a "Green" Advocate from Al Gore's office speak at the ceremony and raise the visibility of this amazing 30 year event. We also will have a SF ceremony in Dolores Park as well. It would be great if there was news coverage for both East & West.
