Single digit approval of Congress

A whopping 9% of those surveyed in the latest Rasmussen survey think that Congress is doing a good or an excellent job - the lowest ever and the first time in single digits since the group started tracking. The harshest voter-critics are those not affiliated with any party: 3% of independents rate Congress well, compared to 13% of Democrats and 8% of Republicans.

Democrats control Congress right now - does this bode well for John McCain?

  • Are they not getting the message? DO SOMETHING RIGHT! I think it's sad that we can't trust our Congress or president to lead our nation in a positive direction.

  • It doesnt bold well for the country in my opinon. When was the last time a congressman was president? I believe it was JFK .48 years ago.I think the country is ,in a whole , tired of the bigoring between the two parties.
We need an independent president with no ties to either party. We need more than two parties in the congress.I'm an independent so im not biased to either party.

  • Funny how vocal everyone is around here with their burning hatred for George Bush yet he's 20% MORE favorable than the democrat led Senate.

    lol!!!
  • I am surprised it is that high.

  • jefftego, I agree. How is it even anywhere near 9 percent? I think that the moment Congress decided to surrender their Constitutional authority to take us to war to the President it should have dropped to zero.
