  • I'm not sure I would feel as safe having a heart bypass in India. That sounds scary.

  • This doesn't come as a surprise to me. There are plenty of women in Miami who have openly admitted to going over seas for cosmetic surgery.

  • Acutally my brother just had an eye surgery done that wasn't legal in the US. So he went down to TJ and got implantable contact lenses put in by an amazing doctor who I believe lives in San Diego and just commutes down for work. US is definitely loosing a bundle of money on this

  • These hospitals in India are more like 5* hotels, they are not for the general public for cost reasons

  • I went to Australia to have a skin cancer biopsy done. It's free there since I'm a national. I also didn't want my insurance here to know I was having one done, since then next time we renew our policy, they'll strike out cancer... (even though it was negative)
I don't know why people in the US freak out about foreign health care. With the amount of medical mistakes in the US, I'm more scared to get anything done here! I have no qualms about traveling to Honduras or India to get something done. If I ever get pregnant, I'll jump the border the other way to have the baby in Mexico. It's about $500 down there, it's over $5000 here, that's with no complications. It's over $20,000 to have a c-section done.
