Jason Burnett, a senior official with the Environmental Protection Agency who resigned June 9, charges that Cheney's office urged him to delete or water down testimony to Congress by top administration officials on the impacts of global warming.
Burnett also said the White House blocked an effort by the EPA to issue an endangerment finding, a conclusion that climate change is a threat to the public. Under a Supreme Court ruling last year, the finding would have forced the administration to cut emissions.

He's a criminal. He should be prosecuted and locked up.
For me, someone that screws around knowingly with our well-being and that of our children deserves capital punishment. Its worst than murder and about the same as genocide. -
It is no longer surprising to find evidence of cover ups (read LYING) and other dirty deals handed to us by our current Federal officials. The question is, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT? Is the Impeach Bush initiative an/the answer? The plan by Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) to institute impeachment proceedings against Geo Bush seems like a good start, but it is only that, just a start. I wonder if there was more interest in impeaching Bill Clinton or if that was just the media projection. Can sex in the Oval Office be worse than illegal activities, unconstitutional actions, war mongering, etc., etc.?

It would be nice to put them on trial but the US stopped being a nation governed by law some time ago.... sigh.
It would nice if those of you who vote this down, i.e. it isn't something we should not discuss, would have enough courage to say why.

The Bush administration, and especially Dick Cheney, is laughing in the face of Congress. Don't think for a second that any one of them are acting in the interests of the people of the United States!
