Former White House adviser Karl Rove defied a congressional subpoena and refused to testify Thursday about allegations of political pressure at the Justice Department, including whether he influenced the prosecution of a former Democratic governor of Alabama.

  • I believe the more the Bush Administration defies the law the better.

    These guys will all be gone soon, so what they do now really doesn't matter. But, hopefully, it will waken the American people to how dangerous to our way of life an Administration can be and maybe they should take voting a bit more seriously.

    In the long term view, the Bush Era is the best thing to happen to a populace asleep at the wheel.

    Drag him in by his nostrils. We live in a world where we will send people to black prisons, suspend habeas corpus, and illegally wiretap our citizens. And we cant even get this guy to show up? And what are we going to do about it?

  • I totally agree Vierotchka.Everything your saying is going to happen.And big buisinss's fingerprints are all over this(see:Union American Union/It's real and it's illegal).

    And if your wondering how they are going to involve the military,a small nuclear device or dirty bomb set off somewhere in the U.S. and blamed on a terrorist org. out of Iran would probably do the trick. This would also garner alot of public support too.Make it look like an accidental detonation in a semi-remote area while in transport to the originally planned site.
    After all, you can't have a government in transition while there are known terrorists in country.Hence the need for a declared State of Emergency,suspension of the Constitution,suspention of elections,and the need for the Canadien military to come down to assist in our state of emergency(see;U.S.and Canada agree to use each others troops in case of civil emer.).There are provisions in the UnPatriot Act that allow these procedures.

    Scary isn't it.Now maybe I'm just being paronoid(can you blame me after the events of the last 7 years?)and I hope I'm wrong,but just in case be vigilant in the weeks preceding the election!TO THE STREETS!!!

  • Im curious as to see if in the end he even gets any jailtime, if he is even eventually convicted. People like Rove circumvent the law so well its absurd that we think that our justice system is perfect. But as the brains behind the Bush administration, he will deny any involvement of anything because he knows too much.
