Bush: No greenhouse gas regulation under my watch

The Bush administration has decided not to take any new steps to regulate greenhouse gas emissions before the president leaves office, despite pressure from the Supreme Court and broad accord among senior federal officials that new regulation is appropriate now.

The Environmental Protection Agency plans to announce today that it will seek months of further public comment on the threat posed by global warming to human health and welfare -- a matter that federal climate experts and international scientists have repeatedly said should be urgently addressed

  • Imagine that!!

I fully understand though.Do you not realize how much money he would lose out on if he were to cross his big oil buddies now? There is no way he would get some lucrative consultation job IF he leaves office if he did that!
  • Why am I not surprised? Apparently Bush wants to leave office having thoroughly F***ed not just America, but the entire earth. Good Luck cleaning the sh*t off this shoe, Obama!

  • Bush is such a hoe...for one thing, he is leaving this issue for the next president, and by then of course, the snowball will have grown; for another thing, I have realized that it is ridiculous to expect sensible decisions from George Jr.;
In the end, my spirits are still positive as our future is bright, and along with some hard work and a collective effort from different people, we will make things better....

  • This right here will contribute to our continuing global warming crisis because Bush is too concerned with all his other failed stategies hes presented as a lameduck president.

  • Bush isn't a brain surgeon.

He's just not that smart and he's one of those guys that have a "whatever" attitude.

Like sooooo many of his supporters.

He never did watch Al Gore's movie.

I think he rented "Tommy Boy" instead.

But that's not to say Bush doesn't believe in climate change necessarily; he's just convinced that someone, somewhere will take care of it for him.

Just like someone took care of all the other problems in his life.

  • I don't get you people, do you think that just b/c your messiah is in office all problems are immediatly wiped clean?

bitch, moan, bitch big oil, moan, bitch, hate bush

  • Who cares about MrBurns. He's just trying to get a stir out of everyone and to change views(hence his name). He's the kind of cat that would switch sides, if everyone was saying BIG OIL! I actually don't mind him at all. We need dual sides here. Opposing views are fine by me(the freedom of speech we should uphold)

He just likes being for the underdog.

  • MrBurns works on oil rigs i dont think so symbolic.

Big Oil supplies us with everything that makes us a prosperous nation and provides fuel for everyone.

Neither of which solar or wind have provided us over the last hundred years.

  • bush made a campaign promise in 2000 to put a cap on carbon emissions - and it only took him a few months after being elected to back off of that promise, this is not new.

  • Bush is awesome
  • THAT'S WHY WE ELECTED HIM PRESIDENT.

The Green Nazis could not get to him. Of course they've tried, through ridicule, and lies.

Of course Al Gore the Green Nazis saint is without sin. Why did he run for President?

The answer is that he is heavily invested in Green Technology. He owns the snake oil he is selling. Al Gore is profiting from the laws he wants past.

At what point is Al Gore ask for Green laws because it is good for the people, or good for Al Gore's investments?

I would trust Al Gore is he divested his stocks from GReen Stocks, and put them in a blind trust.
