SYNOPSIS
Heaven One Earth
What images do we hold in mind for the future of humankind, and the planet? At present, we are bombarded with images of global climate change, worldwide food and water shortages and catastrophic wars. Heaven On Earth is a video travelogue documenting the work of permaculturist Rico Zook. Join us as we travel with Rico to the Northern most part of India in the shade of the towering Himalayas, to glimpse the future through Rico's eyes and learn what permaculture is, and what it has to offer both humanity and the planet. Is it possible we might find heaven on earth here, and now? Watch and see.

  • Tibet, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, Hunza, Mustang, Darjeeling... lands I have for decades dreamt of visiting but which are forbidden me because my health prevents me from going up to such high altitudes. Wonderful video, thanks.

  • Its fascinating to see how natural resources can blend w/ modern tech. Primitive cultures are no longer primitive. The Tao presence of Divine creation to sustain life can harmonize with all the modern conveniences w/out humanity raping the planet for vanity. Dialing life back seems to bring more resources we've forgotten about.
    I wonder how one of these cultures would survive in Texas where I live? I also wonder how they keep ecoli from Cow dung from contaminating the vegetation as it flows down hill?

  • The kingdom of Heaven is within us. We are the kingdom of heaven. We need to awaken to the fact that Heaven is all around us at all times, but our awareness is what keeps us either in it or out of it.

    We can be fully aware of the suffering of humanity and still have serenity while at the same time reach out our hands of hope and help to create the harmonious environment.

    This is such an excellent documentary relating to Permaculture. This describes my practice of the past 10 years of my life, I didn't know that there was a name for it.

    Great experience to watch this video.
