  • The good thing about the Great Depression was that the output produced by the country afterwards was phenomenal. Maybe a stark reminded of the reality of the world will be enough to begin a great American renaissance.

Even if it doesn't, my stock in several Chinese factories is astronomical.

  • This time around we have a planet on the brink of dumping off a whole lot of humans. The outcome may be a bit different on the other end of this one.

    "Lord, here comes the flood
We'll say goodbye to flesh and blood
If again the seas are silent
    in any still alive
It'll be those who gave their island to survive
Drink up, dreamers, you're running dry."

  • I wouldn't worry about this.Phill Gramm and McCain say this is all in our heads. Nothing to worry about. Riiiggghhht!
  • Let's see, we bailed out Bear Stearns this year, now we're going to have to pay off Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Thank God George Bush didn't get his plan to privatize Social Security through Congress!

  • We are leaving behind the infancy of globalization and need to face it just as we did industrialization... by leading the way.

A global economy equals global market sorry folks but that is how it is. We are pumping our nations wealth to the oil fields of the mid east and to the factorys of China.
The next time an American benefits form that money will be the whoever gets the interest on the credit card bill you owe.

Face it now while there is still time we are not the only player out there.

  • I would like to blame George Bush for all of our current economical woes but let's not give him all the credit. There were a lot of hardworking big brained people who came before him and worked hard to get us where we are today. Sharing the same vision he has, they plundered America's power (economic, social, financial, the workers, and manufacturing) because they realized they, not "Americans", could make bunches of money. International trade deals were struck and soon we were buying everything and making very little. Where we are now is the end of this gravy train and unless we bite a big bullet we are going be here for a while. So yea, George Bush has a mental agenda that supports the socio-economic group he is part of and try as he might he will be unable to comprehend the type of life most Americans lead. But, he is only the current ruler in a long line of rulers who have this mentality.
Do you really think this started when he was elected?
