Obama got bashed this week for breaking a campaign promise and supporting a Bush administration bill that expanded government spying powers. But every time Obama has a bad week, McCain has a worse one.

It sad to see John suffering from such a severe case of Oldtimer's Disease. Maybe one of his staff members should pin a note on his lapel stating:
"Hi my name is John McCain and these are my current position on the issues. If you find them disagreeable wait and when they change my Depends they also will change my opinions. If I'm wandering around alone, befuddled and cranky please offer me a Bud and call my handlers at 1-800-GOP-LOSR. Thank you." -
Although the campaign surrogates are making a brave effort, John McCain is obviously the 2008 throwaway for the Republicans. No halfway decent republican wants to run this year and get trounced. John McCain became obsessed with running in 2000. He is crazed and wants to win so very badly, but it is obvious the man is running on obsession only. The media can play up McCain's love of chaos or his "leadership of will." It is obvious McCain does not know what is going on in the world, in this country, or in his own campaign. It is pitiful. He is like the character in "Inherit the Wind" who dies in the middle of his religious rant that no one in interested in. Once McCain goes down, the Republicans can say that they didn't lose--McCain destroyed his own chance all by himself! It's painful to watch and I can't wait until it's over.

There were no "better candidates". He didn't have to do anything to elbow the rest out of the way. All he had to do was take his illegal loan to have the money to continue his farce. Am I to believe that the group running against McCain in the primaries--remember the ones who said they did not believe in evolution/science. Those who believed only in creationism--are those the "better candidates"? As I stated, no halfway decent Republican joined the 2008 race. McCain was the lesser joke so he got his loan and we're stuck with this mad hawk who knows nothing about economics and even less about technology.
