As if the Bush Administration was not already the worst Presidency in the history of the United States of America.
As if Dick Cheney didn’t already have a reputation for being a maniacal puppeteer.
Now, new statements by Jason Barnett, the former associate deputy administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency have revealed that Vice President Cheney’s office sought to delete testimony by the CDC in congressional hearings last fall. Cheney’s people specifically asked for the removal of data in congressional testimony which proves the negative health consequences for human beings as a result of climate change. At stake is pan-industry regulation by the EPA under the federal Clean Air Act.
And we know what that means, don’t we? *gasp* Big businesses would have to make costly changes to ensure they aren’t spewing pollutants into the air and making innocent people sick! Good thing they have the Vice President looking out for their interests. If only we, the people, had the same benefit.
Obviously the Bush administration is claiming that the revisions (a full 6 out of 14 pages deleted) were “routine”. I don’t know if that is supposed to reassure voters, or warn us that the administration routinely tries to pull the wool over our eyes.
The World Health Organization states on their website:
If our understanding of broad relationships between climate and disease is realistic, then climate change may already be affecting human health.
They list several health issues tied to global warming, including:
* increased allergen levels
* increased transmission of infectious diseases
* effects on food production
* drought and famine
* population displacement due to natural disasters, crop failure, water shortages
* destruction of health infrastructure
* conflict over natural resources
* direct impacts of heat and cold (morbidity)
So many people are “waiting out” the Bush administration, which thankfully, is quickly running out of time. But I have a feeling that we’ll be feeling the effects of the dishonesty, greed, and extortion of this administration for years to come. Especially, it seems, when it comes to our environment.

Cheney has been in Washington WAY too long. The guy is utterly corrupt and without concience. He hates the American people.
-
We've got to add more requirements for being President, Vice President, etc.
Some kind of ethical training certification should be mandatory before someone is eligible to have that kind of power.
We don't let teenagers run the deep fryer machine at McDonalds without proper training, but we've let Asshole #1 and Asshole #2 (Pres. Cheney and Vice Pres. Bush) stroll right in and start screwing things up without even verifying they have souls or common sense.
I know, I know. In America "anyone" can be president....but we shouldn't take that vague idea so literally.
There should really be some kind of IQ test requirment.
No Presidential candidate left behind!
Mandatory testing of all presidential candidates to verify they really are more than just "electable." -
everyone should google or search for morgellons.. its a disease that came from out of nowhere and is rapidly growing and is spreading. another thing we are lead to believe either doesn't exist and is not even related to what is being done to the air and atmosphere with hidden technology.
please people we all have to wake up, its almost too late. of course dicky doesn't care, he is part of the evil cabal. as far as ethics, yeah they have ethics.. leaving troops overseas for years and killing us with hidden crap everywhere and killing everyone like a damn sport. i say we vote for no one in the next election. they are all corrupt. how many times have you seen all candidates flip flop and seem inconsistent with statements and judgements??? this is a nightmare we won;t wake up from unless we stop all of this now.
can't fall asleep.-

Try voting for a different party. If you run the mainstream, you get mainstream results. Neither McCain nor Obama can or will even attempt to stop the corruption in our Government.
Nothing Cheney can do or say surprises me. Big Oil, Big Business control this administration. Find out who controls the purse strings on the next two candidates, and you'll see what direction this country will go in for the next 8 years. -
Can we just lock him an a little room and send tons of virus' in after him? Then let him tell us no one needs to know.

He went to add:
"Aaargh." -
Business as usual.
No one should be surprised by this though. I mean, environmentalism was never part of their platform.-

Haha! What a douchebag! I have met him before and I definetly felt an evil presence of energy in the room. We need to just stop paying attention to what he says and ride out these next few months until the douchebag regime is over.

I completely agree with the Bush Admn. Removing highly important information from many official reports presented to congress on extremely important issues has been "routine". Is that a defense? It's more like self-incrimination.

This is one very sick man. He is EVIL without question-
and should be accountable for his actions since he took over flight command of the military in JUNE OF 2001.
So that is why no one was scrambling to stop two airliners from going into the WTC- they were busy doing drills (of the VERY same scenario)
Yes, America has many DARK, DIRTY secrets- and places like Oklahoma City and WTC #7 had stories to tell....they both housed highly classified information, now reduced to NOTHING- but blood.
Hang him. -
Dick is a threat to public health himself. He must be straight outta hell, how does any have that many heartaches and not die?
-
If the Administration is claiming deleting or "revising" information is "routine", this explains most of the mishandled / illegal events of the last eight years. - Why can't we impeach these guys already? We have more than enough evidence to do so.
-
yep, he's still an inhuman monster.
just checking -
People who can't wait till '09 should research a past esquire magazine with an interview with Dick Cheney, making a case for eight more years. This was in 2004. I have a feeling that no matter who gets "voted," (I use that term loosely) into office, that Emperor Bush will say "Awww, that election was cute, but I'm staying in office indefinitely."
He's shit on the constitution so much, this far, and we as a people have been complacent and let it happen, so, honestly, what's stopping him?-

As if the Bush Administration was not already the worst "Presidency in the history of the United States of America. "
Anything starting with this sentence surely cannot be trusted to deliver accurate information if they cannot get simple History right. -
geez.... what's wrong with him now.

Great picture, gee this is not a slanted article, I love all the Obama pics show him like he's George Washington crossing the Delaware... and you Goofy Goobers eat it up like kool Aid at a Jim Jones concert.

this is the best picture i have ever seen of him, and even then he looks like he is up to something devious :) -
Who's worse? Them or the american people for failing to act upon all these attacks on our health and freedoms? We( the internet generation) are a nation of talkers and we do nothing physically. We stand by and say "how can they do that to us" and then just write a blog about it. I've pretty much just given up cuz i realize that nothing's gonna change unless we ( all of america) take physical opposition to the total control they are putting on us. Obama and Mccain are just gonna further the downward spiral until we are are stuck in a hole and they are throwing the dirt on us.
I'm not an anarchist, but maybe it ( or some form of strong opposition) is needed to take back our freedoms and health. Maybe then we can become the america we want to be. -
Cheyney is the worst piece of shit ever

Lets kill em. LOL

Cheney's still alive and functional after suffering his first of 17 heart attacks midway through the Eisenhower administration - it's no wonder he sees these 'health threats' as overblown...

seems talking about this, bringing it into the mainstream news, and trying to fight it
are all big wastes of time.-

Dick is responsible for foisting aspartame onto the unsuspecting public, he has no concern for public welfare and it doesn't surprise me in the least that he's again siding with big business to the detriment of the American public. I think that in his mind it gets filed under population control, some sick and twisted eugenics where only those strong enough or rich enough survive.
-
America don't you feel stupid electing him and bush in to office not once but twicee!!
-
To samonster34: "seems talking about this, bringing it into the mainstream news, and trying to fight it are all big wastes of time."
Yes, you are dead right. It does seem like a waste of time. After all, we are the choir singing to ourselves.
And yet, we might all just need to hear a counter point: there just might be another side to this story: Mr Cheney, sir! What defense might you have?
So there is that small hope, that the choir will get bigger, and the singing louder and more angry, and we will find that we do have some power after all. And without that hope, I think I'll just go into a corner and eat some worms, or worse, veggies.... -
To clarify, Cheney wants you to understand, once and for all, that he and his boss's administration are none of your business.
-
I find it disgusting how they preach democracy while systematically withholding vital information from the public. A democracy depends on an informed populace, and the way this administration hypocritically operates, we are close to the opposite end of the political spectrum. I'm glad they didn't find a way to extend their limited dictatorship beyond 8 years...oh wait, we are not in the clear yet. McCain will be just as harmful to our democracy.

Cheney will give us all the information about threats to our safety through fear-mongering speeches and sound-bites, and of course the highly-effective color coded terror alert system *WINK*

This observation of yours is excellent. I think that I would tend towards the second explanation. It is more plausible and in line with a Freudian slip. -
if anyone needs to be shot in the head its cheney.

The free market has spoken, we want to breath in noxious gases.
Now if this precidency could apply the same libertarian views they have on health to religion, "illicit" dugs, oil tax breaks etc.
God bless uh-merica

Since when did living in an open society mean that the citizens are privvy to any and all info that goes through the Government and who determines what is vital information... do they just put it out there and oops too late....
