SFMTA Donate Free Noise Pollution!

By the way, I am a cyclist and I ride in the City and I do not have a bell on me. I know exactly what is going on out there. I do not get into accidents because I ride and drive defensively.

As a driver I can take you all over San Francisco without have to honk my car horn on anyone unless it is an emergency of course.

I agree with the offense-defense part 100%.

- and let me clarify, A) Im not 'thInking that my bell will save my life' never said that, and will argue no further. maybe from j-walkers, but cmon that makes no sense. any polite bike rider can built an educative argument about this.

and B) I do stop at red lights and yield to pedestrians, but that is not the point of this post. now end of (my) conversation. :)

What people fail often to understand it is that if a car is going to hit you it is going to happen and he or she is doing it on purpose. Thinking that your bell is going to save your life and fail to slow down or stop it is where the driving mistake is. People should ride , walk or drive defensively, not offensively. It is lack or education and impulse behavior that causes accidents. There is less than 1% of blind individuals in the City and available technology for them to move around. Raise the noise on the streets to 99.9% of the population because of that it is the no-sense issue that needs to be understood and fixed by our Government Today. Let us all get the real education and fix the problems!

im pretty sure that in Italy they are concern about the thousands of vespas that pollute the noise environment...

The devil it is really on the Details.
By looking the action and attitude on small things you can project what is really going on out there.

There is no sense of humor when society already lost its capacity to reason.

When you are on the streets you are not in an insulated cocoon and that is people, industry and government biggest; (intentional); misunderstanding in regards to noise and transportation.

I am not kidding when I said we got to fire these people. This City it is already an acoustic chaos in part produced by the SFMTA. Now they are donating their chaos to others. If you need a bell to ride a bike, you better stay home. It is going to be a bell chaos now with people ringing their bell for you to get out of the way. People in bikes should learn how to ride defensively and not believing that their bell will save their ass. Since people have no responsibility or education towards noise, wait and see the chaos that will be added to the existing one.
