Obama Showing Sizeable Gains in Florida

After falling behind by as many as 16 points, presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama has significantly closed the gap between himself and GOP nominee John McCain in their battle for Florida. With the lead ping-ponging back and forth between the two candidates in each successive poll, the RCP Average shows McCain leading by just 2.2%

    Are they in Florida in that picture or some for of crack induced Bambi Forest?

    Obama seems to have this in the bag....which is bad because it's not close enough for him to want to be in that position. He's getting so UP there that soon the only way he can go is down. It would suck if he gets high on the polls and another Jeremy Wright controversy comes along and makes him plummet right before the election. Hope we're through with the surprises with him.

    Good news but Florida's going to be tough in the central and pan handle areas. We need to do a lot of campaigning here.

    I just hope Obama's growing popularity doesn't breed a sense of complacency among his young voters. With us being part of the reason for his success in the primaries, I'd hate to see our tunrnout decrease in the general because Barack 'already has enough support'. Let's keep up the support!
