Come August 25th At the DNC Convention it will be time for a roll call vote to take place. This has taken place for the last 10 Conventions and Hillary with the popular vote and the electoral count has the right to have this vote. Also she still has all her delegates. SO BOYS AND GIRLS THE GAMES NOT OVER TILL THE CONVENTION AND EVEN THEN ON THE BALLOTS WE CAN WRITE HILLARY"S NAME IN! ! !
So anyone that is tried of a candidate ( Obama) that says one thing and does something else. That just this month voted for Bush's bill to spy on the American's in a vote with the republicans, that Hillary Clinton voted against it! But due to the republicans it passed just like the Bush-Cheeney Enegry bill that Obama voted for and pocketed money $150,000.00. That Hillary voted against also! Come August we can do something about who we want as President. Here is your chance you've seen the truth. Now do what is right for this country and for the future of those on Medicare and your future. VOTE FOR HILLARY! IT IS NOT TO LATE!
On Saturday, June 7, 2008, Hillary Clinton suspended her historic campaign for President. To her 18 million voters, it may have seemed like an end, but I pledge to make it a beginning… a beginning of a movement to achieve the democratic and just country that Hillary has envisioned for America.
I stand together with Hillary Clinton’s 18 million voters to demand that Senator Ob and the Democratic Party:
* Bring us together by seating 100% of the Florida and Michigan delegations in Denver with 100% of their votes, allocated in accordance with the popular vote of each state.
* Bring us together by adopting policies on the Platform Committee that Hillary Clinton has championed.
* Bring us together through reform of the primary and caucus system to reflect the basic principle of one person/one vote.
* Bring us together through outspoken denunciation of all gender bias, racism and other forms of discrimination.
* Bring us together by fairly and respectfully including Hillary and her supporters at the Democratic National Convention in Denver by, among other things, placing her name in nomination for President, conducting a roll call vote, and providing her a prominent speaking role during prime time on August 26th, the 88th anniversary of women’s suffrage.
I own my vote. It does not belong to any party. It does not belong to any candidate. It does not belong to any mob that would impose its will on me. Only I can decide how to use my vote, and I can decide based on any criteria I choose. Therefore I pledge not to give my vote to anyone who does not earn it.
Barack Obama
1. supported a domestic wiretapping bill he promised to filibuster,
2. announced that he supports the use of the death penality in non-homicide cases,
3. declared that a woman's mental distress should not be taken into account as a reason for performing third trimester abortions, and
4. sided with the Supreme Court's decision to strike down gun control laws.
Hillary voted opposite of his votes. Hillary votes before Obama votes in the Senate due to roll call.
I will still vote for Hillary come Election Day! If I have to write her name in!

You would let all of us suffer under four more republican years because your candidate lost? My candidate lost in 99 and 04 and I didn't whine about it. Women didn't lose Hillary did, you need to start seperating the two. I don't remember the Elizabeth Dole supporters getting all angry in 99 (thats right a woman looked at the Presidency before Hillary).
-
Ohh and against Hillary who endorsed Obama
-
Hillary was only keeping her word more then what most do. But she still retains her delegates and I'm one of them

All she has to do is go before the Credentials Committee At the DNC in August and she can receve back the 4 Delegates taken from her by the RBC and the votes of Florida and Michigan and then have a roll call vote. It is not over yet the Convention has not taken place. And a nomimee has not been declared until then. Read your history.
I'm 51 years old and have seen many Conventions.
Surely you do not agree with Obama's double talk. Look at the votes he has made. Judge for yourself.
I say write in Hillary on the ballot, she won the popular vote, she won the electoral count, if Obama does not get the votes and McCain does not get the Votes but Hillary gets the Votes the country has know choice but to pick the winner. It would be a first But it would be the right thing for a change for the person to win by the popular vote should win the White House. The people should decide.
And the people have already chose Hillary! Obama had his supporters to commit Fraud with the caucuses along with the paper that you filled out to be a delegate for the individual candidates. I and others saw this on a state level. And our campaign had to watch for it from Obama's while we found that 6 people did this on a state level.

Well to be honest I've read quite a bit of political history because it was part of my degree in college, and if their is one thing I know it is that since the sixities the Democrats have lacked political tack, and everytime they do something stupid wither at a convention or by allowing another more liberal northeastern Democrat challenge the incumbant PRESIDENT something goes wrong.
Hillary ran a great campaign, but if her delegates do something to harm the Obama campaign than her legacy won't be worth 15 cents. She will have alienated the youth wing, the African American wing, the DLC which she helped create, and she will have helped the Neo-Cons hold power for another 4 years at least possible longer why we wait to see a new party replace the Democrats, and even though she didn't force the role call vote she'll be blaimed. So your going to tell me you'll drag this womens historic candidacy into the gutter because your upset about losing? -
One it is the DNC not DLC, to It was her Husband that helped get the DNC and the democratic party out of the gutter in the 1998 election that turned the tide for the democratic party and the only help Hillary was at the time was as major support to her husband while running for office. As far as the sixties go it was the fault of the Chairman to put forth a candidate like McGovern with caused the fall of the democratic party.
Hillary's delegates do not have to do anything to harm Obama he does enough all by himself that causes anyone with commonsense to get off the boat be for it sinks. Anyone that want's on that ship is more then welcome to it, and I do not have any piddy for them for if they do not take the time to see what he votes for even after someone tells them the facts.
They deserve each other so to speak.
I will continue to put my vote were it counts nad that is for a person that means what they say. Not lies while they say it.
And by the way the women's movement which I did not mention will do just fine. Because Hillary has kicked Obama's butt and that's fact.

Why will she be blamed for that. Lay the blame where it lies, with Howard Dean and the DNC promoting an inexperienced, unqualified candidate against the wills of party membership. I have always voted Democrat, but Mr. Obama is not even quailified for the job he has now, why would I be comfortable with him in the White House. And especially after his recent changes in stance, I have serious doubts about his judgement. Don't start that tired old Obama groupie line, it will not be our fault if he loses, we didn't think he could win in the first place. Maybe a new party is what is required if the Democrat Party chooses to ignore it's own voters.
-
I am amazed at the number of people that just weren't paying any attention. Obama said he didn't see a Red America or a Blue America, he saw the United States of America, what did people expect that to mean? Did they think he was trying to trick conservatives, or is it possible that his brand of politics is about ideas instead of ideologies?? Samantha Power was one of his campaigns foreign policy advisors and she's a known military interventionist and anyone that has read any of her position papers knows this, and if Obama has her on his staff (which he did until late in the campaign) than we can assume that Obama might lean that way to. The left is pissed because he's an interventionist and not a peace candidate the Clintonesta's are pissed cause he's not waiting his turn. If you read or payed any sort of attention you'd know he was going to have a careful withdraw from Iraq ("we should be as careful getting out as we where careless getting in" remember that during the debates) and that we should get back to hunting Osama Bin Laden in the Afghanistan theater.
Now on to another issue entirely if you want to vote against Obama I'm fine with that, but vote for a third party. Vote Green or Libertarian, and help break the two party strangle hold, or get Hillary to run as a candidate for a party, other wise your voting for a Cult of Personality (Hillary and Obama vote the same 90% of the time) and not for a set of beliefs. -
Yeah, I heard that speech, great speech. Of course after the "just words" speech, I have to wonder if he plagerized that one too. Or what else he has faked along the way we haven't uncovered yet? How very presumputous of you to tell us who we should vote for. That type of arrogance I would only expect from the junior Senator himself.
-
How is putting forth the idea that ideas are more important than the people who say them arrogant? If Hillary was the nominee I would have backed her, but she lost and I don't think anyone but Obama has a shot at unseating the Corporate Fascist that we have any Washington.
Let someone like Ventura run with the Reform Party and have time in the debates, and be on all 50 ballots then maybe I'll rethink my position.
And as I side note I appreciate maltesetitan debate, point and counter point, as oppossed to someone who comes in and decides the person whom they disagree with is arrogant, their is no counterpoint to that and it's just unproductive. -
On a side note a new party that would break the two party stranglehold is a great idea, I totally love the concept, I don't have to agree with it's principle to think we need more voices in Washington.
-
But she hasn't lost, at least not yet. And she may not, unless Howard Dean and Donna Brazile get there wish of a coronation instead of a convention. Senator Obama does not have the required amount of pledged delegates, there is absolutely no reason why her name should not be placed into nomination. The super delegates can change at anytime up to the convention. Make them stand up and say who they support. And let the supporters of the candidates speak their arguements. Or else allow the DNC to ignore it's own voters and place into nomination whoever they choose without recall. Choose the type of "democracy" you want, it's your choice.
-
Based on what total of voters? The gross total which as a party we have not used or the number that where used because Michigan and Florida BROKE RULES THAT SENATOR CLINTON agreed to before the election.
It's intersting you used the corination imagery though because I think that may be why she lost. Had she taken the Obama threat seriously before Iowa and if she would've campaigned as hard in the beginning as she did in the end she probably not only have won but would've won in a walk, but she lost because her campaign assumed the corination. It was classic upset, Penn and company never where prepared for the post Super Tuesday matchups and Obama ran off 11 straight wins. By the time Hillary found her footing she was in trouble, and had to use the Michigan and Florida elections as POLITICAL cover. I don't blame her for using them but she was playing politics and it didn't work.
Whats happened is the people (and it's a small percentage) that backed her have taken this personally, if Edwards had beaten her instead of Obama you guys would be mad at him. -
I see your point in mch of what you say here.except for one thing it was NOT a >smal percentage..... but ty for your input cmj05
-
I meant small percentage of people who will not back the Democratic nominee not who voted for Senator Clinton, she should be proud she came back from the brink. She should've replaced Mark Penn sooner, I heard a rumor that he thought California was winner take all and anyone who is familiar with Democratic party process knows better than that.
-
Ohhh sorry and your welcome.
-
Senator Obama does not have enough pledged delegates to win no matter what rules the DNC chooses to use. He is only the "presumptive" nominee because of public statements from super delegates. That is a fact.
And if you think 50% of Hillary's voters who say they will either vote for McCain, vote third party, or not vote at all, is a "small percentage", well, you should get a job with the DNC, you're just the type they're looking for. -
JohnA your an angry dude. No body makes personal attacks but you so chill dude. Go vote for McCain hell in a way that works for me because I'm pro-life and the two judges he picks might over ride Roe vs. Wade, so my view wins in that regard. Unfortunatly the loss of life will probably be made up for by the next big war we get into.
-
And you're absolutely sure the junior Senator can prevent war? Isn't he still "refining" his plans for Iraq? Oh of course, he can do anything! What was I thinking?
-
I am a Hillary supporter, I went to her rally at the University of Arizona, but you have to know when you've lost. Its true some sort of miracle could happen at the convention and she could be nominated, however it won't and Obama makes a great second best. People should not do anything to take away the progress he has made in this campaign. He will be the next President and the only thing I want now is maybe Hillary as Vice.
-
If Obama had lost the primary, you Obama supporters would be doing the same thing Hillary supporters are doing. Fighting for what you believe is right. Hillary did NOT lose. The people of the United States lost and in a very big way. Obama is not ready to lead this nation, but of course those of you who are either racists or just too inexperienced to know the difference are convinced that he is. Well you may get what you wish for and we will all have to pay the price for your stupidity. I have already designed the bumper sticker that says “Don’t blame me I didn’t vote for him”.

That is where you are wrong. I am no fan of Senator Clinton, but if she had won I would have supported her. Because at the end of the day I care more about seeing the country get back on track than I do about any individual politician. As flawed as a candidate as I think she is, she is still 1000 times better than McCain. If you were a true supporter of Clinton and believed in the things she does, then I don't see how you can support McCain or want to damage Obama to a point where he can't win. It's childish. Do what you want, but don't expect the adults to pat you on the head tell you it's okay. It's not.
-Oh and if Clinton had won, she would be the one moving to the center right now. If you don't think that's true, you don't know the first thing about politics. -
Oh she won alright and the fact that you don't get it speaks volumes about you.

Judging by the emails I have received, there is some confusion as to what I have said or NOT said on this site. I am NOT a McCain enthusiast. I don’t like McCain’s stance with regards to women’s issues (not to imply I am either pro-choice or pro-life). I resent that some people believe a person’s approach to life has to be either/or. I would choose McCain over Obama, because Obama is a con-artist. I don’t care what you think about my reasons. It doesn’t take a lot of intellect to get Obama’s body language. I could write an entire novel about his arrogant demeanor. At this point in time there is no candidate I would actually trust to run the country, so I have made NO Choice as to how I will cast my vote. As for the country getting back on track, do you really believe that George W. Bush is smart enough to have caused all the economical problems we are experiencing? If you do, then you have to admit he is a genius, not a bumbling fool as he appears. Gas is not going down regardless of who is in the White House. George may be profiting from the oil crisis, but he is not in the driver’s seat. Get Real. The best we can hope for is to have someone in there who will address the issues closest to our hearts. Unfortunately that differs for everyone. My heart belongs to Hillary. Funny how Obama followers call women sexist because they want a woman in the White House while 98% of the black population of North Carolina voted for Obama. Talk about calling the KETTLE BLACK. I don’t like racist anymore than the racists like us feminist. And even more bazaar, I don’t give a rat’s ass about his color. It is his male macho attitude that turns me off. If you think we women are going to roll over and play dead. Think again. Just because we don’t start a brawl to get our point across does not mean we are without resources. Obama may get in there, but his own arrogance will take him down.

You are entitled to your opinion. But that's all it is. There are very real and stark contrasts between Obama and McCain on the issues. And if you are the Clinton supporter you say you are, then you most likely align more closely with Senator Obama. If you want to make body language a priority (to hell with health care, ending the war, women's reproductive rights, climate change, gender equality in the workplace, education reform...just to name a few) then that is your right. I hope you can find some peace in that, I know I couldn't.

Krag2112,
You just don’t get it. You are referring to the issues Obama pays lip service to. The science of reading people is practiced in the military, police academies and many high level positions within corporate America. I was introduced to this methodology in the late 1990’s while working at Intel Corporation. When a person is lying, it doesn’t matter what they say. Obama is dancing around to get votes. He knows he is in over his head, but he is too arrogant to do anything about it. He thinks he can ram his ideas down the throats of people, who have many years seniority over him. Even though the Congress is Democratic that doesn’t mean Obama can waltz in and force his methods on these leaders. And since he lies more often than he tells the truth, who knows what his actual agenda is. Obama is either a puppet dancing for big bucks or he is a fool who will be tossed aside when he gets out of control. That is if he even makes it to the White House. He may be fooling some people, but not all people. McCain is definitely a politician, but he is a knowledgeable politician and if he lies a lot, then he is a master at concealing his deception. Nobody is that good at controlling the truth which our bodies speak even when our lips do not say the words.-

You can rationalize it any way you want, but any Clinton supporter who considers voting for McCain is voting out of spite. Vote for whoever you want for whatever reason you want, but own your decision. Blaming it on some half baked body language analysis is a cop out IMHO. Even if you are right (which you aren't), lip service is better than McCain who is loudly and proudly on the wrong side of almost every issue that both Senators Clinton and Obama stand for. So when it comes to voting against your own interests...you are right, I don't get it.
-
You just don't like the idea that others disagree with what you want. Obama peope have bullied their way into first place, but it will be a shallow victory for a President that is NOT trusted by over 50% of the population. He may win the election, but he has already lost the respect of most of the US citizens. Call it spite, we don't really care what you call it. It is a message that we will not be trampled on and then be expected to kiss ass.It won't end here. This has opened a can of worms that will follow this administration for years to come. It says a lot when thousands of people would rather vote for the other side then be forced to support someone they just don't trust.

Ya know what I see when it comes to Hillary supporters who say they wont vote for Obama? Not a bunch of women but a bunch of old people. Saying to all us young folk that "we better shut up and listen to them cause its not our turn yet!". Well ya kow what you out bred your own generations strangle hold on the majority in this country now we, the under 40's out number you. The great thing is you are a minority many of your generation can see that there is a dangerouse grasping at the conflicts of your generation by people such as those of you who SWEAR that the democratic party "will not be taken over!". Taken over by who? The young? this is ineveitable. Heed the words of your poets "he who gets hurt will be he who has stalled". Oh and by the way Willie Body language=that N*#^r is getting to uppity! but see these are the things we young people forgive you for because it was how you where rased and you don't know no better. But we dont have to listen or aprove of your BS either.
