Life with My Sister Madonna Elaborate PR Ploy?

The book came out on Monday. Has it already fizzled before the weekend? What's up with Christopher Ciccone's "tell-all" Life with My Sister, Madonna ? It sits at #17 on the Amazon chart (5 spots BELOW Jessica Seinfeld's, Deceptively Delicious). I know the book was pretty boring, of which the highlights were things most of us already knew. Anyone who has seen E! True Hollywood Story would know these things.

So now it makes me wonder (I am a conspiracy theorist at heart) was this all just an elaborate, carefully orchestrated PR ploy to give Madonna more coverage? Nothing in the book was shocking or hurtful, really. So what she gave him his first ecstasy tablet. Big whoop. He and Guy Ritchie don't like each other. Who cares?. The bottom line is Christopher still manages to make a million bucks on the book, Madonna continues to be a topic of conversation. She comes out of it virtually unscathed, and maybe even scores sympathy votes as the betrayed sibling. What do you think? While we are at it, I think A- Rod was a willing actor in this PR extravaganza too. I wonder if there was a bounce in sales for Hard Candy this week? Hmmmmm...
