Bar owners in Beijing have been forced by the P.S.B. to sign an agreement 'not to serve blacks or Mongolians'.
One World, One Dream indeed.

The link is asking me to register to read the article. What is the P. S. B.? Just curious.
-
i have to say im rather sceptical of this, although it wouldnt surprise me if it was true.
-
This is the same story linked to Australia's The Age.

That's effing disgusting, how can we continue to support having the Olympics in such a back-ass-ward nation? Seriously I don't understand after all the human rights abuses and problems arising from this, that we can honestly still allow the Olympics to continue. Who's on the committee that decides these things anyway?
-
it that news real. Is any hard evidence behind. I doubt
-
Whatever happened to the "We will give more human rights" in their bid to hold the Olympics?
-
Why haven't we heard on the "real news" places? Or at least the Colbert Report?
Is this real?-

If this is real China wins because it continues to fool people and the world continues to fall for every single trick. They win and, apparently, will always win.
-
I don't think they'd be that mean
-
Why would they have anything against blacks?
This is China not Alabama...Sounds to me like more China Scaremongering, I'd like to see a better source.
Of course it could be an example of chinglish going horribly wrong.
In Irish "Black Man" translates as "Fear Dúbh" which actually means the devil.....-

well, just to response someone. China goverment may not have good human right record, but i dont think they are stupid enough to make this type disgrace policy. so i just rang my friend in Beijing, as she own several pub near San li Tun where the largest pub area in Bejing. Guess what, no one knows this policy. So wake up people, not all news are ture, just for get attention.
-
The Chinese government is absolutely disgusting in every way imaginable. They fill their country with pollution. They promote bigotry and hate. They engage in genocide. Enough is enough. Something needs to be done to stop those insolent barbarians.
-
I wonder if the IOC is having second thought yet?
-
I'm not sure about the legitimacy of the article as I hear SCMP isn't the best as far as reliable reporting... but, if it is true its just one more reason to boycott the Olympics and anyone who supports it.
The above link is a list of sponsors if you wish to join me in boycotting Beijing Olympics supporting companies.-

I don't believe this one.
-
I think throwing the race card into it is a little off-point. Apparently they are trying to clean up the city's image by getting rid of known drug and prostitution hot spots (probably not realizing the rest of the world is use to this kind of crap), but hopefully if you're an upstanding citizen of any color you'll be just fine.
The Olympics are full of black athletes and fans, and China isn't a blatantly segregated or racist nation, so I find it hard to believe this article can be taken at face value.-

That's crazy, I didn't expect that. What's there beef with black people?
-
If this is true, this is serious bullshit....
If it is bullshit, this is also serious bullshit...
Either way, it should not surprise anyone that there is ignorance, stupidity, foolishness and absurdities throughout the world right at this moment...until we all take a stand on a collective, united front to make positive changes, the influence of the idiots out there will continue...

Sit-in? Maybe not, knowing China, it might end violently.
-
Maybe with all the black athletes thirsty and dehydrated
China might win a metal. -
I hope the Olympics in China turns out to be a disaster.
-
I am not into boycotting because why punish he athletes but in this case, if it is true I would surely boycott China Olympics. I think it should be checked and make sure it is true

Great posts KYLELOWER & AYAHUASCA2012-because China is becoming the greatest threat to our planet’s future-regardless of this story. China has become another super power that is causing more harm than good in the world-all for the sake of money & power, which they equate to progress at the expense of our environment & lack of concern for the rest of the world’s well being as long as we keep buying their products. They are quickly becoming one of the biggest threats to the future of humanity while our goal to live healthy & safe lives is put in serious jeopardy. Whenever possible, DO NOT BUY “MADE IN CHINA” or underestimate their negative global impact, & help to safeguard the Earth & all of the systems on which life depends.
By the way, will they be allowing black athletes to participate in the games? Remember Berlin, Germany was embarrassed by the exceptional performance of one, Jesse Owens, in 1936. And there would be no better time or place to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1968 Mexico City Olympics Black Power salute that helped bring America’s unfair treatment of its own citizens, who happened to be black-worldwide-energizing an historical movement. I’d like to see the black athletes reignite the issue of civil rights being non-negotiable now & forever no matter what your skin color, ethnicity or whatever is, empowering those without real power to be able to reach their full potential & stand up to the Man whose keeping them down.
Ever since the TIANANMEN SQUARE human rights massacre almost 20 years ago, I have used that as a benchmark of their true progress-not their skyrocketing economy & its devastating effects on our environment-and CHINA IS STILL IN THE DARK AGES OF HUMAN RIGHTS. Another quote from the article,“The local authorities have been cracking down on blacks and Mongolians in an attempt to stamp out drug dealing and prostitution ahead of the Games, the proprietors said “ clearly illustrates China’s prejudicial stance & mindset of the leaders, which is gaining momentum in the trickle down format to the rest of the populace who must toe-the-line or suffer the consequences. Just imagine the inhumane stories going on behind the scenes that will never make the news as China stages itself for the time when most of the world’s eyes fall on them.
It looks like I won’t be alone with my decision to boycott these sham Olympics, that they somehow bought the rights to, having decided a long time ago that I would sleep much better at night given the current state of China’s affairs & their overlooked devastating impact on the world. It’s already a given that they will win the most gold medals & probably most of the medals seeing as they have been preparing for this world-wide attention for years. These games will be as far from the true Olympic spirit of athletic competitiveness as they can get, as marketing their country to the rest of world is the real priority, backed by sponsors riding on Chinese coattails with monetary profits as their only motive. So, BOYCOTT THE BEIJING OLYMPICS, sending China a powerful, undeniable economic & human rights message that the world is watching-just not their games anymore.

It says not to serve blacks OR Mongolians.
On the basis of skin tone, that rules out half of the States, Africa, the Pacific Islands, most of the Middle East.
Who the hell is left? The Chinese and Europe?
I don't believe this.-

I didn't even know that there were black people in China.
-
Nice, and all Chinese are Triad. (j/k) Wow? Its only because they need to be educated that not every black person is a drug dealer. It is unfortunate, but given time everyone will see the many sides for every culture. And uphill battle, YES. But its worth it.
-
I literally cannot believe that a country entrusted with the world's biggest gathering of nations on the planet has the nerve to do this. It's an eye opener to see such blatant, unashamed racism in this day and age.
-
At leas they're not attacking other countries - lol - I wish this came from a legitimate news source - it's hard to know what to think...
