The innovative last.fm website which allows members to generate charts, radio stations and communities based on the music they listen had had a major overhaul this past thursday, resulting in a revamped design which has thousands of its members infuriated due to it's less than appealing scheme and navigation. Many are drawing comparisons to facebook and myspace.

  • I like how you can play your top tracks....but the rest of it disorients me. I want to see my top plays of the week where they were and I liked seeing the 50 top artist not 15.

  • It's only compounded by the dismissive and patronising staff. Telling us we'll get used to it, or have to get used to it is not at all pacifying. It's insulting. To quote exactly, "We think we know our users better than you do. It's really easy for site designers to spin the whole "we know what's best for you" thing, but we think we do."

    I like how they had the pictures of the artist before. Right now it's kind of cluttered.

  • Old was very good. Now the artist page doesn't show up tag clouds. Now, we need to scroll down and down to see a small information. Too much white space, facebook/myspace look leads it to make a site no different than other. I like the live update feature though.
