I love this website because things go not have a chance to get filtered through mainstream media and by the time they do hit the (watercooler circuit) I have already found more information about said topic and have had conversations to strengthen my opinions.

  • Yah Willie. Current news has become my main source for a wide variety of issues. A good mix of interests and a fairly progressive audience participating. Now I know.

  • Current.com is my first choice to get caught up on a variety of world issues because, as cheakywillie points out, a lot of what gets posted here barely raises a small cloud of dust elsewhere. I don't always agree with the opinions expressed but, that's exactly what I was looking for. How can anyone claim to keep an open mind if they're not allowing others to have their say? Sure, there's jerks who just want to get some attention with harsh comments of no real value. That's to be expected. The cool part is that I get to chose whether or not I want to add my say and encourage an item to be shown on Current TV. Many of the regular contributors offer up items that become news later on corporate owned media services and I tend to keep tabs on what they post next.
    That's the best reason to stop by here first.
