It also makes governmental denials less believable. The military knows how it intends to use this technology, and has made it clear in their documents. The military has deliberately misled the public, through sophisticated word games, deceit and outright disinformation.
The military says the HAARP system could:
give the military a tool to replace the electromagnetic pulse effect of atmospheric thermonuclear devices (still considered a viable option by the military through at least 1986).
replace the huge Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) submarine communication system operating in Michigan and Wisconsin with a new and more compact technology.
Be used to replace the over-the-horizon radar system that was once planned for the current location of HAARP, with a more flexible and accurate system.
provide a way to wipe out communications over an extremely large area, while keeping the military's own communications systems working.
provide a wide area earth-penetrating tomography which, if combined with the computing abilities of EMASS and Cray computers, would make it possible to verify many parts of nuclear nonproliferation and peace agreements.
be a tool for geophysical probing to find oil, gas and mineral deposits over a large area.
be used to detect incoming low-level planes and cruise missiles, making other technologies obsolete."

We seem to be unsatisfied. It is no longer enough to make our soil, water, and oxygen polluted. We have to experiment with the atmosphere, which protects us from the suns radio-active emissions. This could use a little public discussion.

Abstract
A method and apparatus for altering at least one selected region which normally exists above the earth's surface. The region is excited by electron cyclotron resonance heating to thereby increase its charged particle density. In one embodiment, circularly polarized electromagnetic radiation is transmitted upward in a direction substantially parallel to and along a field line which extends through the region of plasma to be altered. The radiation is transmitted at a frequency which excites electron cyclotron resonance to heat and accelerate the charged particles. This increase in energy can cause ionization of neutral particles which are then absorbed as part of the region thereby increasing the charged particle density of the region.

The feds and military clearly believe the science is sound, and think it is a powerful weapon or they wouldn't have spent our tax dollars building H.A.A.R.P in Alaska and other climate control complexes in other states.
Why all the anger about revealing what these scientists and the government are doing to the ionosphere with our money? Seems misplaced. Where is the righteous anger about this misuse of science that imperils all people and the planet? -

Ionospheric heater really!:(
Gee, did you ever hear about something called..
RADAR??
A little bird told me that we've been using it since WWII...
Oh, and yes there is something called NEXRAD?
It's the newest "Doppler Weather Radar".
If using radio waves would cause so much commotion in the Ionosphere we would have heard about this long ago.
The trouble is that none of you know much about this...
HAARP, which is an acronym for
The High Frequency Active Aurora Project.
What do they do?
They study the ionosphere and among other things how radio waves do and don't travel. They also study the potential for aquiring power from the Aurora.
Now, most of you don't know this but the ionosphere does get warm, simply because it's always being hit by the Solar Wind.
At times of Geomagnetic Storms, that are triggered by Solar Flares and Coronal Mass Ejections...(Normal Explosions on the surface and atmosphere of the Sun that send huge amounts of energy towards the Eart and into the Solar System) the ionosphere does get hotter.
In fact, when a Geomagnetic Storm occurs and you see an Aurora, most of the energy here is not light but heat.
This is a NORMAL OCCURENCE.
And in fact, these storms produce electrical currents..electricity in wiring and cabling on and in the ground.
So, the idea that HAARP actually heats up the ionosphere is just a lot of ( you fill in the expletive deleted here)-

Reality is bro ... I don't have to know that much about this particular issue to know that many people in power and control are corrupt and are not on the side of the average people.
