Austin school districts got a green light Friday to offer high school students an elective Bible course without the specific state standards that some contend are necessary to guide well-intentioned teachers from straying into religious proselytizing.

This belongs in part of a literature course. The Bible, though definitely not true, is quite possibly the most culturally significant piece of literature in human history, and there's some good writing mixed in with the rest of the crap.
