This film features highlights from a congressional forum on HR676, the only piece of federal legislation that would ensure every American access to health care. Introduced by Rep. John Conyers (D-Michigan), HR676 would establish a publicly financed, privately delivered health care system that improves and expands the existing Medicare program. This unique single-payer system would guarantee that every American, regardless of income, employment status or race has access to the highest quality health care.

    Just a couple of thoughts.

    Are there any Single Payer (or "Medicare Expanded and Improved for All" or "United Protection) health care advocates out there willing to gather a small group and visit their local Obama campaign HQ's? Or willing to have "Platform Parties" (in conjunction with the Obama campaign) in order to make sure that Single Payer voices are heard?

    How i wish Al Gore and Oprah were speaking out on this issue as forcefully as they could be (if they wanted to, that is). That wouldn't hurt a bit, and would take relatively small effort on their part. They probably don't want to hurt Obama, since he's definitely not with the program yet.
