Dark Knight receives fantastic reviews online

The amount of attention the latest Batman movie is receiving, largely due to the death of one of its stars, seems to be setting it up for the usual scathing reviews which usually accompany films hyped to this level.
Initial responses however have been almost all positive, with amateur reviewers gushing praises for the film, CNN reports. Predictably, most are from young women who are more Heath Ledger fans than of the Batman franchise, but the film itself seems to pack quite a punch, with one girl remarking that she left the movie "shaking", and that at the end, "the audience was silent", presumably in a good way!
However, I can't help thinking that Ledger's performance wouldn't have got so much attention if things had gone differently, but I'll reserve judgement.
