Pass it on ... the USA needs a wake-up call. Obama plans to disarm America by Macsmind. This is absolutely shocking & reprehensible. He plans to unilaterally disarm our nation. Not surprisingingly your link is broken.
However there are some things for you to consider before you get all wound up about the "disarming of American" At present we spend more on "defense" than all the rest of the world COMBINED. That amount equals approximately 50% of the national budget. We maintain 1400 military bases, with approximately half of them being overseas. We have thousands of nuclear weapons. If Obama were to start disarming American today, something that will not happen, he couldn't finish the job in two decades.
Second, there is no reason to stay armed to the teeth inasmuch as no foreign military has attacked the United States since the Spanish-American War. (Hawii wasn't a state when attacked in 1941)
Third, our hugely expensive military cannot protect us from terrorist attacks by determined individuals like happened on 9/11.
Fourth there is a HUGE difference between "scaling down" and disarmament.
Fifth we NEED to scale down because we can't afford to maintain it at it's current cost. Under Bush the military has been ramped up to unsustainable levels largely in part because of the Iraq War.
Finally and probably most importantly many of the countries we might face in a conflict us could devastate this country without firing a shot. Take China for example. Bush sold them 1.5 TRILLION dollars in US securities, mainly to implement the slow destruction of the American army in Iraq. That's money WE OWE THEM not including the interest. If we so much look at them in the wrong way they could simply sell off and/or demand payment of those securities and our economy would be destroyed. Russia and the middle East could simply cut our oil supply, all without firing a shot. You see, America, largely at the urging of the defense lobbyists, is gearing to fight future wars using the last war's stategy. A common mistake.
Future wars will be fought in the economic markets around the world, not on the battlefield. Therefore there is no point in pissing away as much money as we currently do on "defense". I'm not saying we don't need a conventional military, but we don't need as large as we currently have. The best way to prepare for future conflicts is to get our economic house in order. -
Obama is just like Adolph Hitler. Hitler had a cult following that almost destroyed the world. Hitler had a best selling book. Hitler gave mind numbing speeches. Hitlers followers attacked anybody who spoke the truth about him. When Obama gives speeches he raises his hand to the sky just like Hitler. Hitler was considered the savior of the country. Every Generation has a dangerous Cult leader tha takes over a country. It seems to happening to this Country. Now Obama wants to disarm everyone just like Hitler did so he can carry on his dream.

lest you forget the behavior of Hitler because you yourself didnt read the history.. at my age I remember plenty.. and if you did some research you would find others feel the same way..BUt you would rather stick yur head in the sand Krag.. because you dont want others to see Obamas way will be more of radical just like his freinds are... its all there for any to see ...research the real Obama.. and how anything he says is all BS.. IF he is elected it will be a sorry time for us all.I pray he isnt.. but there are a lot of movements to knock him dowm to size... it will happen....our opnion is that he has al the traits of a dictator...not a President

So you're saying Obama is going to disarm America, but then you're also saying he's like Hitler. Who rearmed Germany and almost conquered Europe. Which is it unicorn? Of course that question is rhetorical. Someone with such a misconceived sense of history...your opinion on things really should be taken with a grain of salt.

I was listening to Tom Sullivan on Fox News Radio the other day,and one caller called in to compare Obama to Hitler because Hitler "brought people to their feet" just like Obama has. Moreover, Obama gets the crowd to chant slogans, just like Hitler did. So the question is, will America elect someone like Hitler? Are we gonna take a chance on this guy? I would get hung if I posted this on Kos, but I really want a serious discussion on the similarities and possible consequences.

Yes, he is that ignorant, and yes, he intends to disarm this country right under the Democrats noses. He is drunk with power, having leveled the Clinton machine, and he is a far left Marxist. And a former Muslim. How many of his relatives have to come forward, or how many of his radical political beliefs do we have to listen to in his own words before we get the message? -
